Day 5 – Palo Brunch Day!

That’s what a sea day should really be called right?  Palo Brunch Day!

I woke up at 7 today! I cannot sleep in my first day onboard. Cannot.

On this itinerary, our sea day was first. I think overall I prefer the sea day to be last on shorter cruises.

I sat on the verandah for a little while. After a discussion the night before we decided to change the date of the girls’ cruise 2016, so I did that while sitting on the verandah.

I took this for Instagram. It’s not a shabby place to work!

Also, side note, I want these towels sooooo bad.

We had breakfast in the concierge lounge today. Not much, because everyone was doing Palo or Remy brunch!

Flat Stephen enjoyed his.

He also checked out the hot breakfast menu:

This is the $35,000 coffee machine. They were quite proud of it!

The lounge:

After we ate, we went shopping again. I think I literally saw every single lol’er there!  We all had the same idea!

I neglected to take a picture of these the night before. They may be the coolest cufflinks ever.

Flat Stephen thought about buying his lovely wife a purse. He didn’t.

After shopping we went back to the room to change, and then walked to Palo.  We waited outside until we were called back.

There were 6 of us at Palo and the rest went to Remy. I was at Palo, so I don’t have any Remy pics! They had the private room and had a great time from what I hear!

Food line up!

The sticky buns are amazing!

I always get the chicken parmesan:

We all split some pizzas:

Dessert!

During brunch, we were texting each other on the new app to get everyone linked up. Fun with the app!

My word, I was stuffed! I took some pictures on the way back to the room.

We had so many Fish Extender gifts when we got back!

Ileen gave us this awesome Mickey duct tape!

Sherry made us all bags! She picked the fabric she thought went with each person the best. They were all different and they are adorable!

Sherry also gave us these yummy chocolates again, which I devoured.

Kris made us plaques! They’re so cute!

Renita gave us cute sleeping masks:

Coke Zero for Flat Stephen:

I was planning on swimming, but first I decided to deliver my Fish Extender gifts! Everyone’s extenders were filled to overflowing!

Flat Stephen helped:

Heather and I were determined to get cute pictures of Mickey bars by the funnels on this trip but it’s hard to find time to be hungry! When I got back to the room, she’d ordered them. Well that makes it easy!

There was one for Flat Stephen!

We went outside and started taking pictures, but they were melting sooo fast! This cracked me up. This is not what I had in mind:

This is more like it! Except for the melty bits!

Then we swam! No pictures!

We had mixology scheduled at 4 today. I walked over.

The ladies were here!

Our glasses!

First drink! I basically helped make them and passed them off.

First group of ladies! Nancy was working hard.

I have no idea what was happening here, but it was funny!

All done!

Someone must have grabbed my camera and taken pictures of our group:

This took a lot of concentration apparently:

We crack ourselves up!

Next group!

Kris is practicing!

Light fixture:

Kelly was the expert pourer for this one:

Tada!

We’re done!

After mixology there was a pub quiz happening. I love pub quizzes! Jamezy was our host!

We won!! We are awesome! Jamezy said we better be excited! Kelly obliged!

I was starving after this. When I went back to the room, Heather was as well so we went in search of snacks. We brought our popcorn.

I was going for French fries and Heather got a gluten free pizza. But when I got there, they had Philly Cheesesteaks! I couldn’t pass that up!

My snack turned into first dinner!

Heather went with several people to see Villains and I got on the computer for a little while. And fell sound asleep! I was late for TV tunes trivia! I was not much help anyway.

We did well, but we didn’t win.

Dinner tonight was at Royal Palace. I love their bread baskets.

Heather loved something!

Kelly enjoyed dinner with Flat Stephen:

He cleaned out the bread basket!

French Onion Soup!

Dessert!

Flat Stephen had a Mickey bar!

Heather was perplexed by the next night’s menu:

Most of us went to Match Your Mate after dinner. It was funny as usual.

Then we had snacks again. When we walked back through the lobby, they characters were out rehearsing for the Farewell show. We weren’t allowed to take pictures which made me sad because there were some awesome photo ops!

Heather and I did hang out and take pictures afterwards.

Flat Stephen took a ride on the bat before bed!

Then we went to sleep! Too late for a movie again!
