Day 2 – Bungalow Baby!

Our plan initially was to relax and enjoy Beach Club a little longer in the morning, but then we realized if our bungalow was ready early, wild horses couldn’t keep us away. Mukta was off to the Magic Kingdom by 7 and we all slept until 9! Good grief!

When I woke up I had texts from Mukta. She checked in at the Poly and our bungalow was ready! Woo hoo!!! She also confirmed we would be staying in the same one both nights, so life was good!

This news got us out of bed quick and we all got ready.

I took a selfie on our balcony to post on my own social media. Mostly so my mom could say, “Why didn’t you tell me you were going to Disney World!”

My real camera lens was stubbornly foggy!

Look what Sherry and Kelly had for breakfast! Mukta brought Kelly’s favorite cake from Disneyland! Coconut cake!

Kelly’s husband Tracey may or may not have used a swear word when he found out Kelly was eating it without him.

Kelly has the best suitcase. I have got to get a suitcase I can put stickers all over.

We decided a cab was our best way to get to the Poly quick, so we were off!

Hellooooo, Poly!!

We did exercise a tiny bit of patience and ate a real breakfast at Captain Cook’s before walking down to the bungalow.

Mickey waffles for me of course!

After we ate, we were off to the bungalow! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

Look at them!

Just look!

So much anticipation!

So many pictures!

Here we are!

And… Our bands didn’t work!! Wahhhh!

Our bands don’t work and we are sad selfie:

Sherry volunteered to walk back and she got hers activated. Thank you, Sherry! 🙂

I took pictures to entertain myself.

Hi, Tammy and Kelly!

Sherry was back, and yay it worked!!

We opened the door, and promptly started screaming. That wasn’t just me, right?

Oh my word. Just gorgeous!

I love it when rooms are big enough for a hallway.

Here’s the master:

Master bath:

Taking pictures of the TV in the mirror:

Potty room:

In the second bedroom, I somehow only managed to get pictures of the pull down bed!

The second bath was split which was nice:

Living room and kitchen:

Deck:

Plunge pool:

I’ll just hang right here.

The view out the kitchen window:

Kris was updating me on her whereabouts and at one point we thought she was on the same bus as Heather. We almost had her stand up and yell “Heather!”, but thank goodness she didn’t, because they were not on the same bus! Lol

We had a basket of goodies apologizing in advance for the noise that would be coming from Night of Joy that night. Very thoughtful!

Around now our doorbell rang and we all started screaming again.

Our doorbell was amazing.

There were 9 different Haunted Mansion doorbells. We had a favorite and immediately started ringing the doorbell over and over so we could record it.

Kris was the next to arrive and she soon joined us in the fungalow! Then our bags arrived!

You better believe these were nailed down.  Not that we checked or anything…

Next Heather, Amy, Anita and Nancy came and more screaming ensued.

We were starving for lunch at this point and left for the Contemporary to meet Siobhan and Renita who were next to arrive and get something to eat! Off to the Contemporary!

We found Renita and Siobhan! And apparently, I took no pictures.

When we sat down, we realized how late it was! We were eating dinner at Hoop-Dee-Doo in like two hours! So Sherry and I split a cheese pizza:

Siobhan got fish!

We caught a boat over to Hoop-Dee-Doo and the skies were looking iffy. When we got off, they said all the boats were shutting down due to lightning.

On the boat!

Parasailer!

We met Joanna at Hoop and we were assigned the center table. Joanna is a Hoop-Dee-Doo pro. She was quoting the lines before they were said!

Showtime!

Nom nom nom.

Mukta played the washboard for us:

I loved Hoop-Dee-Doo! I really didn’t know I would love it that much!

We caught a boat back over to the Contemporary and apparently, we just made the last boat again!

Some of us met John and Colleen at the Top of the World Lounge! Somehow I did not get a picture again!

Our goal was this amazing chocolate cake!

It was delicious!

There was a crazy storm and some crazy lightning happening while we were there. We said goodbye to John and Colleen and made tentative plans to meet up at our bungalow the next night.

We opted for the quick way home and caught a cab back! #weareimpatient

Most of the girls were at Trader Sams and they let us in to join them. While we were there, Jen arrived, so Kris and I traded out so she could come in.

When we got back to the bungalow, we were all talking and Kris said, what is that music?

And we realized the electric water pageant was happening right out our window! Ack!!

Bad pictures!

Amber had been up for like 36 hours and we had an early morning, so she went to bed.

Kris and I slept in the living room and realized we had no pillows! We called to get some and said “Please please please do not ring the doorbell because we had someone sleeping.”

They promised they wouldn’t and about 15 minutes later they arrived – and rang the doorbell. Oops.

We left all the shades open in the living room because we could basically lay in bed and see the castle. And that’s awesome in case you were wondering.

At midnight when the Night of Joy fireworks woke us up, we realized why we had the apology basket! #worthit
