Day 4 – Cruise Day!

It’s cruise day!! Yay!!!

I woke up at 4:30. Yep. 4:30. Way too excited to sleep!

It was gorgeous out!

Mukta and Amber were taking last minute pictures.

We were using the luggage delivery service from DCL today and so we lined up 18 of our bags.

Yep. 18. Lol

We left the room around 8. Goodbye, beautiful bungalow!

The limo was coming at 8:30. We had big plans!

Kelly and I had been watching availability on our cruise and the Roy suite was open up until the day of sailing! We were salivating at the thought of upgrading in the port. The limo driver was coming early so we would be among the first there. We knew we had no chance if we weren’t among the first.

At some point during breakfast we started getting updates that the limo driver was running behind. Should be 10-15 minutes late. Okay, we were still good.

Until it was 30 minutes. And then it was a flat tire and “He’ll be there any minute” turned into him finally showing up at 9:30. An hour late.

Waiting.

Still waiting…

We knew the Roy would be gone. I’m not gonna lie, I was sad. But we couldn’t complain too much, we had an awesome few days coming up!

Nancy and Heather were super chill!

He’s here! Make it a super stretch!

Let’s go, Lols!

We didn’t all take the limo, but lots of us did!

Flat Stephen was also in the limo of course.

He’s a happy guy!

We stopped at the liquor store and some of the ladies stocked up. We finally arrived!

I love that the first thing we all did when we got out was take pictures. Seriously, these are my people.

Check in for Concierge and Platinum!

Flat Stephen also checked in. He mooched off our status.

We were so late that the concierge lounge was empty and people were boarding! It’s okay, we were chill.

We sat for a minute to take it in.

Welcome letter!

And we had a Fastpass to the front of the line!

They welcomed us – the Ladies of Leisure, aboard and we made our way to the concierge lounge.

Which was full! Shoot! But our room was ready! Yay!

I barely took any pictures because I took so many last time! This was Heather’s first time to stay in a one bedroom and she oohed and ahhed (and squealed) appropriately.

We met all of the ladies for lunch in Enchanted Garden.

Food line!

The best part of the food line:

My plate looks pretty much exactly like this at that first lunch, every single time.

This may have been Heather’s?

This cracks me up:

This was definitely mine!

Heather always gets extra attention at meals. #glutenproblems

We all turned everything that may suck up data on our phones after lunch. Then we split up for a while!

After lunch Heather and I strolled up top. Funnel pictures of course!

We then went back to the room where we had chocolate covered strawberries! Pretty sure that was a mistake. They were for our reception, not our room. Whoops!

Flat Stephen had a diet coke with his chocolate covered strawberries. It’s his favorite.

We went to the concierge lounge for our welcome and I let them know we had the strawberries. They fixed that quick and ordered us some more.

Concierge Lounge! Ashley is in the foreground. Love him!

Danny went through our information with us and he was amazing.

Someone came over and took drink orders from us while we were talking. I ordered a Coke Zero. A few minutes later, while still talking to Danny, they brought me a Coke. I wasn’t going to say anything, but Danny corrected it immediately.

That’s how much attention concierge pays to you. Danny wasn’t in charge of our drinks in any way, shape or form, but even while maintaining a conversation with us and giving us tons of information, he knew what we had asked for. It was so awesome!

Some of the welcome papers!

Food!

Heather did not hate concierge.

Concierge also gave us popcorn and told us to come get any whenever we wanted! It was gluten free which made Heather so happy.

We walked out to the sun deck where we found Evian Face mist and Coppertone. #spoiled

This area is now covered and a hot tub was added in the recent dry dock. It’s such a great update!

I asked about our Palo and Remy reservations to check on our table set ups, and Danny called them. They asked me to come down and look at our tables to make sure they would work, so I walked over there.

Flat Stephen made an appearance for Instagram! This was his official social media happy birthday wish.

Next, I met Siobhan in the DVC reception.

This was our first introduction to the adult host for our cruise – Jamezy. He was quite funny.

At one point, Siobhan may or may not have spilled her entire drink on me. She was Elsa-ing and when she hit the big notes and stretched out her arms, boom! Lol!

It’s all good!

Next was the lifeboat drill. Lifeboat drill selfie!

We must have sat for a few minutes and let everyone clear out:

We went to the sail away party and just about missed the actual sailing away!

Joanna’s drink!

A few people sent us screenshots of our group lined up on top! Here we come!

There we are!

Up next was our special Ladies of Leisure reception in Evolution! Food for days! Because you know, we always need more food on a cruise…

It was nice to sit and relax for a little while.

After we sat for a little while, Daisy came to visit! I love that Nancy is standing up and waving in this picture when Daisy walked in.

Daisy was awesome. We took a gazillion pictures!

Sherry getting some Daisy love.

Daisy selfie!

Storybook Agents!

Original Lols!

And the whole group!

After the reception, several ladies headed to the Golden Mickeys.

Heather and I did some shopping!

I absolutely loved the new Star Wars merchandise. I really thought they would just stick some Star Wars stuff in there, but they did a great job of incorporating it with the cruise line.

I bought this one!

While we got ready for dinner we put on Brave and watched it throughout the cruise. We also checked out our On Demand Hollywood movies and saw Pitch Perfect 2 on there. We made a vow to watch it at some point.

Sunset was happening!

After we were ready, we were off to dinner at Palo with all the ladies! Joanna wasn’t feeling well, so sadly she didn’t make it.

We met in Meridian where the sweetest most thoughtfulest ladies of leisure gave me a gift! The amazing red pillow from the rooms!! Oh my word, I love that pillow! I have never bought it because it’s so expensive!

Stephen saw it when I got home and accused me of being very bad. He was relieved when I told him it was a gift! Ha! He also won’t touch it, he doesn’t want to take any responsibility for messing it up. I have to take it off the bed every night.

Dinner was amazing.

Palo freezes ice tea to use as ice cubes if you order iced tea. Is that brilliant or what?

Hmmm. Do you think this would work with Coke Zero?

Calamari:

Mushroom risotto!

Palate Cleanser:

I had the Palo tenderloin of course:

All the desserts were so beautiful!

I seriously thought Heather was going to cry when our server told her that she could get a chocolate soufflé that was gluten free. Look at the glee on her face!

And now the craziness on her face.

At one point they opened the curtain for us and we got to see all the chef’s at work!

Well they weren’t working when they opened it, they were waving at us, but you know.

It was super cool!

Here we all are!

That night Siobhan came to our room and helped us with some last minute crafting!

We had sashes made for our Halloween costumes on Etsy. Well that was a disaster of epic proportions and the story is too long and drawn out to repost here. To make a long story short, those sashes are in Florida in Holly’s garage and Heather picked up some at the dollar store as backups.

Siobhan and Heather worked on the dollar store versions and they worked perfectly fine!

No thanks to the awful Etsy seller I dealt with.

Flat Stephen rested.

I promised myself I would take better pictures of our awesome Fish Extender gifts this time.

This was from Suzanne!

This was from Jenell! It’s to put in the light switch so you don’t have to leave your card in it! And there’s a magnet on the back to put it on the door when you aren’t using it! Brilliant.

Siobhan brought sparkly hand sanitizers tonight!

Heather gave us a goodie bag!

Fish Extenders are so much fun when you know everyone!

We had a flying stingray tonight! Bat?

We finally went to bed around 1 am! No Pitch Perfect 2 tonight!
