Day 3 – Magic Kingdom

I woke up in a bungalow! Woo hoo!! Actually I woke up at 3:30 and could not go back to sleep for about an hour! I finally did and slept hard until Kris woke me up at 6:30.

I showered and we caught the monorail to Magic Kingdom! The front desk gave us incorrect times for the monorail. They told us it would not be running that early and we were planning on calling cabs! Then someone looked at the posted time on the sheets (and I think even a sign at the front desk) that had the correct time.

I should say we caught an empty monorail. Hi Mukta and Amber!

We had an early morning breakfast at Be Our Guest today! We got in the breakfast reservation line.

Empty park!

Of course, we made time for some group pictures!

Empty Fantasyland!

When we got inside there wasn’t a single table big enough for us. We asked someone and they opened the other room. Plenty of room there!

Breakfast was pretty good! I wasn’t crazy about the menu, but I ended up really liking mine!

The room is crazy dark though and so pictures are rough!

After breakfast we looked at the Mine Train standby line but it was crazy long already. So we went to Peter Pan where we actually wanted to wait in the queue! And the queue was spectacular!

Tinkerbell came out of the trunk and flew around at some point!

There she is!

Then our shadows could ring bells and get butterflies to land on our hands! So cool! How does that work?

Next most of us had Mine Train FastPasses and they let the two who didn’t ride with us, no problem.

Love that ride!

Then we headed over to Haunted Mansion. We stopped for a Tangled Tinkle.

We walked towards Big Thunder Mountain after that but it started torrentially raining on the way there!

Most of us went our separate ways at that point. Kris and I went back to Main Street to shop and get my Annual Pass renewed.

We were beyond soaked. Beyond. But who cared! We had a dryer in the fungalow!

On the way back, Kelly, Siobhan, and Sherry said they were going to eat at the Grand Floridian Café and I decided to go with them. I looked lovely by the way…

So…we will do food pictures instead of people pictures!

We also shopped. After filling our bellies, I went back to the bungalow for a hot bath and the clothes dryer!

After that I just relaxed in the fungalow and it was glorious.

I must confess here, tomorrow (the day we boarded our cruise) was Stephen’s birthday!

Yes, I didn’t win too many wife points with the timing here, but he was sweet about it as always! I knew I had to do something to prove I was thinking about my husband from time to time, so I made a plan!

One of our friends had made a Flat Stephen as a joke a year or so ago. I decided Flat Stephen needed to join us on the Ladies of Leisure cruise! Here he is.

His first appearance was in the fungalow!

He will reappear again over the next several days. Many times.

Tonight we were eating at ‘Ohana! Before we left, we had a very special treat!

Holly came to see us!!! Even better – Holly and Penelope!! It was so awesome to see her!!!

After we got some sweet baby time, we all walked up to the lobby where we got to meet Brett and Lucas. We were so lucky.

Thank you for coming to see us, Holly and beautiful fam! 🙂

We had a big old table at ‘Ohana and Liz joined us too! Hi Liz!!

Phone pics!

Really bad phone pic!

Let the food begin!

Kelly was quite happy.

Later her drink was all fancied up for Instagram:

Everything was amazing as expected.

We got quite a kick out of how many shrimp Mukta ate. #gettinghermoney’sworth

I’m seriously previewing the trip I just took, we ate at Beaches and Cream AND ‘Ohana!

#wealwayseatatthesameplaces

Dessert!

We had two Tables-in-Wonderland cards so they split the bill in two. Kris was counting the dough:

I forgot to say that on the way here we had quite the laugh. When we walked out the door, I grabbed my little coin purse and what I thought were my sunglasses. About halfway to ‘Ohana, Sherry looked at me and died laughing.

I had accidentally picked up her sunglasses which had beer glasses all over them! Me the teetotaler, wearing beer glasses. Awesome.

While we were eating, Amber texted me and said she was right coming to see us! Yay! We talked for a while and I met her hubby Dave. Horrible lighting selfie, but at least I remembered to take one!

We rolled ourselves back to the fungalow where every lol plus some joined us to watch Wishes. Hmm, that sunset looks promising!

Ileen and Kris tried out the plunge pool:

It’s getting pretty!

Oh my word, most gorgeous sunset ever!

Then it was time for Wishes! What an amazing place to watch it!

For a while we had Wishes AND the Electric Water Pageant!

Heather had a friend buy her the purse she’d been coveting in case they ran out! It was delivered tonight and she fell in love. So much she took a selfie with it. I grabbed my phone for that picture!

Siobhan and Jen were coming back and Siobhan was so sweet, she remembered me saying I wanted a Dole Whip Float so bad but there was never time to get one! She brought me one!! How thoughtful!

We finally went to bed around midnight! Big big day tomorrow!
