Day 7 – Bamberg and Air Conditioning in Berlin

The magical luggage fairy came at 7:15, and we went down for breakfast!

One last view from our room!

One last group picture!

Then we were off on the bus!

At one point the guides came around and air dropped some photos to our phones. So fun!

We also got Kinder Joys!

And a grocery store version of my favorite. It’s a Flodebolle!

The magical snack basket came around too.

Then we made it to Bamberg!

Those who chose the alternate activity – free time with a guide, went one way, and those on the tour went the other.

Look at our tour guide! I don’t know how she wasn’t dying in that. But I applauded her dedication!

And we were off!

Bamberg!

Beautiful garden!

Here we are!

And our pin!

Then we walked some more!

We grabbed a quick lunch before we walked to the train station!

Walking!

Train time!

I was thinking at the train station how normally in Europe there’s a few minutes of deciphering the language and buying the right ticket and finding the right train. Not with Adventures by Disney! Everything was taken care of, and it was so relaxing!

We had seats near each other.

The guides passed out some games too.

Hello, Berlin!

Group shot!

We boarded our bus and headed for our hotel.

Alica and Melanie promised it was going to blow us away. They were so excited for us. They told us they wished they could be in our rooms to see our reactions! Haha!

They were right. This hotel was gorgeous. And sooooo air conditioned. Basically Heaven.

Look at our room!

Our view!

We had a little free time, so we walked to some nearby stores to buy some cooler clothes! Stephen was out of t-shirts, and I needed some short sleeved shirts! I had brought t-shirts as back-ups in case something got dirty, or to wear under my fleece (so silly). I needed clothes!

So we bought some, and we bought some Coke Zeros for our room. Brilliant!

We all walked to dinner together.  I did not bring my camera tonight, but I had my phone of course!

We learned all about the Ampelmann! Walking traffic lights had a little man that either walks or stops. When Berlin introduced him, everyone loved it! So they started putting him all over. There were Ampelmann souvenir stores even!

Dinner was – sausage! Soooo much sausage! They brought out plate after plate!

They also put ice on the table for us! Americans.

Then we went back to the room! It was blissfully cool and dark. We slept so well!
