Day 9 – Copenhagen and Tivoli

And today we are back in Copenhagen! Hello, Copenhagen!

After bidding farewell to the Magic, we caught a taxi to our hotel. This time we were staying at the Grand Hotel which was downtown.

Our rooms weren’t ready yet, so we dropped off our bags and started walking downtown.

We were just a couple of blocks from Tivoli which was our destination later that day!

Tivoli had a Build a Bear outside.

My first stop was Starbucks! Mug for me, coffee for Father-in-law.

I meant to come back to Hamley’s when it was open, but I never made it.

I also wanted these waffles at some point!

Disney Store! Not open! Fail.

Copenhagen is such a pretty city!

There was a statue underwater here that you probably can’t see:

Inside one of the palace complexes:

I love this word.

We stopped for lunch in a little deli. I found a giant Flodeboller! My favorite thing ever.

Then we went back to the hotel.

Our room was ready! We took a little break.

Then we were off to Tivoli! Stephen’s parents stayed behind to rest and we made plans to meet up at dinner.

This park was a crazy confluence of themes. But fun!

We started on a mild roller coaster:

If you threatened my life and asked what the theme of that was, I don’t think I could tell you.

Tiny ferris wheel!

With fun views!

Next we did this! But when we were about to get on, they wanted me to put my camera in a cubby surrounded by people. That didn’t seem like a good idea. So I waited and did it the second time. The views up top were so awesome! I wish I had it! I could see the Magic from up there!

Then we got in line for bumper cars!

A parade came by while we waited!

While we watched the people before us, we saw two women get in a horrible fight after one of them bumped the other too hard. We all looked at each other and realized this did not look fun at all. So we got out of line!

I loved the marshmallow booths:

There was a Chinatown area!

With fish and chips!

There was a very cute dark ride, no idea what the storyline was:

Then we took a cute little train ride around the park.

Mom and I did a little boat ride next:

We walked back to the hotel after that.

We found a dinner place.

My in-laws look perplexed.

I had nachos:

Stephen had fajitas.

We were right across from Tivoli.

The candy machine at the hotel was intriguing.

And that was the end of a very fun day!
