Day 7 – Sea Day

It was a sea day, so we slept until 8!  It was grey out, but not raining.

Debbie went and got coffee, then put her pajamas back on and got right back in bed! Ha!

Then it was time for Windjammers:

As soon as we sat down, Heather texted me – DCL itineraries were coming! Ack!

I ran to get my room, and we sat for about an hour while I worked. We practically could have stayed for lunch!

When we left, we went and found some pool chairs. Look how cute!

We went between the chairs and the hot tub all day. We had so much fun talking to everyone!

I worked for just a few minutes on my laptop when I sat down, and an older gentleman walked by and scolded me (in a joking way) for working. He instructed me to put down the laptop, and I assured him I was almost done!

Our chairs were next to Meteorologist Mark, and we met some people from Colorado Springs in the hot tub! Small world.

We brought lunch to our chairs.

At one point, some fighter jets buzzed the ship over and over for a good 15 minutes. Listening to the guests speculate on why they were doing it was pretty funny. I head everything from “Cuba wants to bomb the first cruise ship back to make the news” to “they are probably spraying us with Covid”.

Okay.

Eventually we said goodbye to all our new friends and went to shower. It was guest appreciation night!

Salad:

And shrimp:

I had spaghetti Bolognese which was great!

And molten chocolate cake. Also great.

Then we went to watch Switched On Band in a different venue.

The lead singer often gave a little “Whoo” after saying the band name, so we started calling them Switched On Band Whoo!

We made it until 11 tonight. Then it was bedtime!
