Day 3 – It Really Was the Perfect Day at CocoCay

CocoCay day today!  Woohoo!  I had been before, but not since the massive makeover.  I was so excited to get to see it!

We planned a day at the Beach Club today, and the massive pool tomorrow.  There is a cost for the Beach Club, and no cost for the Oasis Lagoon (massive pool).

We woke up to some clouds!

We headed to breakfast at Windjammers. It was raining a little!

Food!

I had pancakes. And breakfast potatoes (per normal).

There it is out the window of Windjammers!

We stopped back by the room after breakfast. I took a picture of the masks they gave us!

It was raining a little, so we weren’t in a hurry!

We saw several people getting off, so we decided it was time. We disembarked and took the tram over.

We were trying to decide if today would be a bust, and if we should try to put off the Beach Club until tomorrow, so we hung out in the main area for a little while.

There was a massive lightning strike while we were there. The thunder was so loud!

Here’s the entrance to the waterpark. It is an additional cost, so we didn’t go in.

Here’s the play area!

We hid under a shelter and met a fellow passenger named Mark. Mark checked his radar and gave us his prediction of what would happen. We saw Mark many times over the cruise, and we called him Mark the Meteorologist!

It stopped raining, and we headed out. Hello, pirate!

We stopped to see the dancers!

Lots of people coming and going now!

We boarded the tram and were off! There’s the hot air balloon!

We’re here!

It was pretty much just us at this point!

We found the best chair ever!

I can’t tell you how comfortable this chair was. I was so glad we came early to get it!

I got up to take some pictures. I love this table!

There was some coffee and pastries:

The sun was peeking out!

It was just beautiful!

And then some grey clouds moved in. It started pouring! We all took shelter.

Royal passed out these little balls which had – rain ponchos! They were so cute!

We were under there for about 20 minutes, but we were dry and met some nice fellow guests!

Then the sun came back out! Woohoo!

I covered my laptop with the poncho. Just in case!

They brought us new towels, and some dry cushions!

It had been like three hours between meals, so I was starving at this point!

They weren’t doing a buffet, so we went and got a table. Menu:

They brought us a selection of appetizers in bento boxes!

Look how cute!

I had steak!

Debbie had lobster! Which kind of terrified me. Ha!

And cookies for dessert!

Then we went back and sat in our beautiful chaise.  At one point I noticed people looking behind us and up, and I realized the balloon was up!

Look how pretty!

We swam, and then Debbie was chilling.

I walked down to the beach.

After a glorious day, we decided it was time to go back and get ready for dinner.

Goodbye, Beach Club!

We waited for a tram.

We’re back!

We caught another tram to the ship, but I decided to take some pictures before I got on, while Debbie went to shower.

It’s so pretty!

Welcome back! 😊

I decided to go up top and take a few more pictures.

Now this is a view!

The pool deck was pretty quiet!

I showered and got ready for dinner next.

When we walked out, we realized we were wearing the exact same jean jacket over our sundresses! Twins!

Back to our table!

We switched seats tonight, and it completely through off our servers. They could not tell us apart!  lol

These Asian tacos were delicious!

I had chicken cordon bleu!

Debbie had rare meat!

I also had cheesecake.

After dinner we went shopping and explored.

We ended up in Name That Tune for a little while, and then we went to see Invitation to Dance, the show in the theater. We enjoyed it!

They spread guests out all over the theater, and you had to have a reservation to get in. Although we made a reservation about an hour before the show and it wasn’t a problem!

Then we were back to the Viking Crown Lounge! The music was great tonight. And one of the passengers passed out glowsticks! It was such a good idea! Everyone loved them.

I decided I should never go on a cruise again without them!

We headed to bed around 11:30. Look at this cute little towel animal!

We were double dipping CocoCay tomorrow!
