Day 4 – CocoCay on Repeat

We woke up at 8 today!

We ate at Windjammers.

I didn’t bring my camera, but here’s my favorite kind of donut!

When we got off, my lens would NOT unfog this morning. It took so long! And I am not a patient person when I’m passing things I can’t take a picture of!

Foggy foggy foggy.

Finally!!  A clear lens!

We picked some chairs and I went to take pictures!

This pool is massive!! And beautiful.

I’m not going to lie, I absolutely loved having a pool on a private island.

I kept backtracked a little now that my lens was unfogged.

Here’s the entrance we had come in:

When I got back, Debbie said there were some ants, so we decided to move.

We moved chairs three times! Ha! You can do that when the island is empty.

Found our spot!

I got up again to take pictures.

Back at our new chair!

The pool still wasn’t crowded!

And I couldn’t stop taking pictures of it. Ha!

Then it was lunch time!

Here’s mine!

Here’s Debbie’s:

I also had ice cream!

Then it was back to the chairs.

At some point I ordered a virgin slushie.

It’s a rough life.

We got in the pool several times that day. At one point we walked the whole edge (in the water) and it took a good 15 minutes. It was massive!

There were dancers, and music, it was a great atmosphere.

When we were ready to go back, we walked to the side we hadn’t been to yet so I could take pictures.

And we found this!

What?! Funnel cake? Sweet heavens!

That made me so happy!

Then we walked back to the ship.

Goodbye, CocoCay!

We showered and got ready for formal night when we got back!

Poor Felix, our assistant server, still couldn’t tell who was who and who wanted the coke every night! He usually picked one of us, smiled hesitantly, and held it out. It was cute!

Dinner!

Hated it.

Ha! Debbie must have eaten my asparagus, or it would definitely still be on the plate!

Here she is on formal night!

We also had the Grand Marnier souffle, and it was yummy!

Afterwards, we went to Schooners and did trivia.

This was my go-to drink all week in the evenings. A Shirley Ginger! It was virgin, and quite tasty!

After trivia, we went to the Imperial Lounge for music tunes trivia!

We did not win either, but it was fun!

We stopped by the internet cafe to check it out for a zoom call I had to do the next day.

We went to the lounge, but there was no DJ that night!

So we got pizza and went to bed! Sea Day tomorrow!

A foggy camera lens always frustrates me, too, especially in those more humid climates. I got some anti-fog spray to keep my glasses from fogging while wearing a mask, and I might try that on one of my lenses sometimes, since camera lenses are also listed on the packaging. Also, that pool looks amazing!

That’s a great idea actually! Let me know if it works!
