Day 6 – Beaching in Tortola

The wind/water forecast for Tortola was not good. The cancelled several excursions. We had a private boat booked that I was really excited about! Stephen was not excited about the forecast. We contacted the company who said we could cancel if we needed to, and yes there was a small watercraft advisory in effect. Shoot!

We’re here!

We met in Royal court for breakfast and to make alternate plans.

We picked a couple of options, but I ran upstairs and they were full. So we decided on a beach day!

Ally visited our room. She was a little cold apparently.

We met down by our room to get off.

We’re off! I only brought the GoPro today! I was excited to play with it more! We’re off!

We caught a taxi to Cane Garden Bay Beach.

I mentioned to Chase that I couldn’t figure out how to get a good angle of all of us, and he reminded me about the phone app! Brilliant!

This is amazing! What a great feature!

There’s the ship!

We’re here!

We walked down to the far end where it was nice and quiet.

Based on the forecast, I was expecting wind and choppy water, but it was gorgeous!

Ally and Olivia:

Chase and Carter:

This is basically what we did. Relaxed, swam, dug. Not a bad day!

Ellie and Brian made chairs! Brilliant!

Nice hat!

We finally decided we were all ready to head back, so we walked up to where the taxis were.

Our driver was chatting us up the whole way. He promised to stop for some good pictures.

Pretty!

He told us to watch for the “liquid sunshine” that was coming.

We’re back!

Hello, gorgeous.

We went and rode the AquaDuck, and then took turns showering.

Up top!

I went back up with my real camera at some point!

There were an awful lot of little boats out there! Not being thrashed about! Dang it, Joan!

I always wonder if anyone actually goes back here!

Then we met up for, what else? Wizard!

It was pirate night tonight! I think I took out my real camera for a few seconds and then moved to phone. That seems to be my habit these days!

We are so piratey!

Food!

I have no idea what we did between dinner and fireworks, but some of us met up at fireworks time.

Then we visited the pirate buffet!

Tonight’s towel animal!

And bed!
