Day 15 – Last Day – Guernsey
Today we were in no hurry to get off, so we slept in a little. I woke up at 8 and read for a little while.
We were close to shore, but I couldn’t get Jeb to connect! Dang it, Joan!
The girls woke up later and we went upstairs for lunch at 11.
There’s Guernsey!
The girls had decided to get room service and that would have been the better option. When Pete’s Boilers opened, there were no fries! Whaaa?
And then there was some horrible hammering going on. So we relocated a couple of times to find (relative) quiet and ate quickly.
There was ice cream!
We picked up the girls and headed to the tender next.
We got right on.
And we’re off! First we walked to the castle.
The lighthouse had some great views!
The girls happily climbed down here for a picture:
We popped our heads in the castle, but decided not to pay the entrance fee, and headed into town.
It was around this time that we got Jeb working again. Phew! Welcome back, Jeb!
I loved this little town!
We made our way up to Candie Gardens.
It was gorgeous out, so we sat and relaxed for a little while.
We walked around some more.
Mom had bought some chocolate at some point!
And we were back to the tender!
When we got back onboard, I stopped and got some French fries! Because French fries.
Then we all napped and packed. Oy, we had a lot of stuff! We also had this little beauty in the room to add!
Stephen was taking most of our luggage back so Ally and I could travel light, so we were trying to be strategic in what we left out.
Our last dinner was in Animator’s and it was show night!
I’m always very torn between baked Alaska and a Mickey bar on the last night!
Show time!
After dinner, we finished packing and went to see Dreams in the Walt Disney Theater. The new Frozen segment and projections were awesome!
After the show was over, we got right back in line for the PremEar of Finding Dory! Well the girls and I did! #sleepisfortheweak
The line was ginormous! Two lines past the stores when we got in. I’m sure it only got longer. Much to the stress of my daughter, I got out of line to go buy popcorn. Then the line started moving and right as I finished, they got up to where I was and we went in together.
Like we planned it!
As you all probably know, Finding Dory was excellent.
We went back to the room and read for a little while before our last bed time!
Day 16 – Travelling to Paris
We were up early again! It’s always so sad to wake up the last morning! Although I’ll admit, it’s a lot easier on a 12 night cruise than it is a 3 night cruise!
We met for breakfast in Cabanas.
Our Palo server was working and we chatted with him for a while. Then it was that time!
After we got off, we all hugged, said goodbye, and went out different directions!
Dad, Mom, Stephen and Erin were on a transfer back to Heathrow. Ally and I were going to the train station in town.
I wish everyone could come with us, but we had a great time together! I posted the Disneyland Paris trip report separately! Here’s the link! Thank you for reading!
