Day 9 – A Beautiful Day at Sea

We slept in again, and went to breakfast –

It was beautiful out!

We kind of laughed every day when we walked through the atrium area and saw huge groups of people going crazy over a merchandise sale.

Until we went buy today and saw it was purses. Kate Spade purses. Oh snap.

So we shopped. Kelly had this amazing key chain in her hand until she saw me dying for it. I had seen it, and the matching purse, in a store a couple of months before and almost bought it.

If you didn’t know, I LOVE dinosaurs. So so much. Always have. My favorite book of all time is Jurassic Park which I read long before the movie which did not disappoint. My motto in life is that EVERYTHING is better with dinosaurs.

Even key chains!! Thank you, Kelly! :)

Then we went and watched the last Thriller practice –

This picture with a runaway boy with Louis bag just cracked us up.

We wandered a little after. They were playing basketball today:

This is what they did with the bumper cars when not in use. Pretty efficient!

We walked around outside to see how windy it was.

Shuffleboard!

Flow Rider was closed due to the temperature and wind.

Wuh oh! Looks like iFly was closed too! We had a reservation there in a few hours!

We stopped in to see if iFly would be closed all day. He wasn’t sure, but it didn’t look good, and told us to check back!

So we went down to the Main Dining Rooms for lunch.

Here are some pictures of a couple of options –

Silk:

Chic:

And American Icon Grill:

And this is the hallway/stairwell connecting them all:

We ate in Grande and ended up eating with two lovely ladies from Australia.

Chicken and waffles!

And ice cream.

We left very quickly to check on iFly, but no luck. They weren’t running. He said it was too risky, with all the wind. He said we could get away from them!

Um. Enough said. Another time then!

We watched dodgeball for a little while which was fun!

We stopped in Boleros to see what it was like. We ended up back here later that evening and Kelly got something to drink. The bartenders was rather unfriendly, so we didn’t stay long.

We had a pizza snack at some point!

We watched a BMX demo later:

I took a picture of my Tsum Tsum’s I bought in NYC for a giveaway:

For dinner we decided to try the one place we hadn’t yet – the Bistro outside the Solarium.

Horrible picture of food from the buffet:

And steak that I ordered:

We went back to the room for a few minutes after and I took a picture of the elevator hallway on the way:

Then it was time for the Thriller flash mob! So fun!

They started off with some children that had been practicing.

Then it was time for Thiller!

Seriously, that was cool.

It all ended with the officers and some of the crew coming out on the stairwell so we could all clap for them. A farewell of sorts.

They were doing virtual fireworks in Two70, so that’s where we headed next.

Fireworks!

Nothing beats real fireworks of course, but I have to say that virtual fireworks were pretty cool!

And finally it was time for our last onboard activity! Planning our next cruise! We went to the rebooking desk and camped out in a chair while we got online and planned.

We ended up booking a Boardwalk view on the Harmony of the Seas in October. Sherry is joining us too! If anyone else wants to come, come on! We can never have too many friends!
