Day 6 – Coco Cay

Royal Caribbean tenders to Coco Cay. They told us tender tickets would start being handed out at 7, for a 9 am arrival. I woke up at 7:20 and ran down and got them.

We had a 10:00 tender time! And I got it at 7:30! Crazy! Coincidentally, while we were onboard, Royal announced they were building a dock for Coco Cay. Thank goodness! It wasn’t a good process. We ran into someone in the elevator that didn’t have a tender time until 12. And all aboard was 4:00!

I also found it amusing how close we were to Norwegian, and their island. We could see it!

Random hall artwork:

Finally we were off!

And we’re here!

We headed far away where it wouldn’t be as crowded.

I liked the floating playground –

And slide!

Until I found out you had to pay for them. Whaaaa?

These were cute, but I wouldn’t like to pay for one and end up staring at the back of someone else’s!

We found a spot:

We were under a pine tree, which was interesting. I cut my food on something it dropped in the sand, but not the end of the world!

There was a huge sandbar in front of us!

We walked out onto the sandbar with our GoPros.

The sand was rather muddy in places!

We found a starfish!

Up close:

I do love the island life.

We saw this thing in the water and we weren’t sure what it was. It was like a water slug!! Ack!!

Ack!

Let’s stick to starfish:

Once we started looking, we saw so many slugs!

We stopped at the floating bar for Kelly:

Then we were back sitting.

While we were at the floating bar we had seen two women so so so so drunk. Rolling in the sand drunk.

Well while we watched one of these carts came and took them away!

We left for lunch after a little while. I wasn’t too impressed with the tents.

Here’s my lunch! With plastic silverware! Haha!

Small rant, remember how I paid $70 for soda? Well soda on the island was a portable bar with liters of flat soda that they would pour for you.

Seriously?

Okay, enough of that.

They did have trams and were weren’t too far away from one of the stops.

After a little while, we caught one back to the main area so we could walk around.

There was some better shade over here for eating.

This side had a lot more people:

There’s our ship!!

We were about ready to go back, so we caught the next tender. We sat a pretty long time, so I took a lot of pictures!

But they all look exactly like that one until we started moving! Haha

We went to the Solarium to the hot tub!

Great views!

We also had ice cream:

Then we went back to the room and showered and changed.

Tonight we had dinner at Jamie’s! So we headed that way when it was time.

It was super cute inside!

The bread was delicious!

They set the appetizer on tomato cans!

I had the bolognese:

I think we split this?

Definitely Kelly’s!

Dessert!

So much dessert:

After a great meal, we were back at – karaoke!

We were too tired to make it to the Newlywed game, but they reshow all of their shows on TV! Which I really liked!

Bedtime!

Nassau tomorrow!
