Day 7 – Sandals in Nassau

We’re in Nassau! This is a familiar view!

We started with breakfast.

Then we got off pretty early. It was a madhouse!

There’s our ship!

We admired the ships and turned the corner. And – what?!!!

Oh no! This is torturous!

Look at that beauty!

Man we were not expecting that on a Thursday!

We moaned a little and wanted to jump onboard and say hi to Ashley. We tried not to moan too loudly so we weren’t THOSE people who love Disney and complain about every other line! We were still thankful for where we were!

But yeah, she’s purdy.

We had two destinations in mind before catching a taxi to Sandals.

First we stopped at the Straw Market so Kelly could get a straw bag to put her new Figment Dooney in and take it home. I don’t ever mind the straw market. As long as you know what you’re in for, and we did! So we wandered a little, found the perfect bag, haggled a little and we were out!

Next we walked to Starbucks for my mug collection!

Finally we walked back to get a taxi. It probably took a little longer than it should have to find one, but we weren’t in a hurry!

Hello, Sandals!

We found our spot and relaxed.

We headed for the pool and stepped in – and screamed! The water was coooooold. Like crazy cold. What up?

We made it about 5 minutes and then went to the hot tub:

Then we decided we were ready for lunch! So we started walking!

Menu:

There was a nachos bar. Nothing wrong with that!

Mine:

The best part was dessert as usual! An ice cream cookie sandwich!

After lunch it was time for the resort tour. Kelly came with me and we met up with another couple who was doing the resort tour. Until our guide said it was only for the agents. I was surprised and said last time we brought out guests, but she was insistent!

Okay?

So Kelly went back to the chairs and we walked around.

Tour:

The resort was super full, and we only got to actually see one room! But look at this view:

The gym:

And one of the restaurants:

The swim up suites were full, which is not surprising! They’re great though.

After we finished, I found Kelly and we got some drinks! I never know what I’m going to get when I say I want something fruity and non-alcoholic. This was good!

Then we got in the freezing pool again!

Sandals underwater:

The fun chairs!

Hammocks!

After a little while we were ready to head back!

From the cab we could see the Dream leaving. Bye Disney!

Back at the port!

Back on!  Goodbye Atlantis!

We did dinner in one of the Main Dining Rooms tonight! We were in Silk!

Food!

And for dessert? Chocolate soufflé!!! No, not THE chocolate soufflé, but not bad!

After dinner we went to watch Karaoke before some shows in Two70.

Spectra’s which was a cabaret/cirque type show. It was cra-azy:

Then there was a game show called Quest which was pretty racy. They did get the children to leave first!

Finally it was bed time! Here’s our towel animal:
