Day 6 – Magic Kingdom and the Actual Ohana

Today, it was Magic Kingdom day! Woohoo!

For the past few days, our schedule of going early, getting a lot done, taking an afternoon break and then going back to the park was working well. The problem was today, our Mine Train Fastpasses were smack in the middle of the afternoon. There was no way we would have time to go back after and then make it to dinner in time.

So my plan was to hit Mine Train first thing and then take a break in the afternoon.

We made it for opening!

Right about here we made a horrible error. We went through the castle instead of to the right of it. So stupid! I knew better than that!

By the time we made it to the end of the line, it was rather huge. Dang it, Joan!

We waited in line a good 45 minutes, and some of my family, who shall be nameless, were quite grumpy.

I think everyone enjoyed it though!

When we got off, we checked Peter Pan so everyone could see the new queue, but the line was already at 45 minutes.

I knew no one would be happy with that, so we went to Ariel’s where we walked on. I would have enjoyed it more if some people weren’t still so grumpy. Just sayin.

Peter Pan was our goal to do at some point that day. It was not as easy as one may think! ::)

Next it was off to Buzz!

Nailed it.

Peter Pan still had a crazy line, everything was getting crazy, so we walked towards Big Thunder.

My family is not known to miss a meal or a snack for that matter, and it’s hilarious how many times we would all start walking and lose someone who stopped for a snack.

When we got to Big Thunder we were missing someone, so we waited and caught up on social media.

The wait wasn’t bad at all once we got in line!

Kids took selfies:

I took a couple!

Cousins:

Next we decided Haunted Mansion was in order!

Haunted mansion selfie:

We were off to Space Mountain next!

Or we tried! So many snacks –

Made it!

After that, we were hungry and ready to go back! We ate at Cosmic Rays which was insanely packed!

We stopped on our way out for a castle selfie!

And we had to take a classic picture!

On the bus!

I checked in on the animals and then we all took naps!

We had an early dinner at ‘Ohana tonight! Woohoo!!

We left the room around 3:15.

We’re here!

This here bread caused a whole lot of problems!

Olivia has a very serious tree nut allergy. Like epi pen and emergency room if one slips by. She had just told us the day before that coconut was a problem.

If you’ve eaten at Ohana, you know where this is going.

Normally Disney is amazing about asking about allergies. And everywhere else had. But it slipped by tonight and who would expect coconut in bread?

Bonnie was eating it and said, “I’m pretty sure there’s coconut in here, does Olivia know?”

We looked down the very long table and saw here eating it! Ack!

Bonnie told her and she immediately grabbed a bottle of water and Benadryl.

Chase jumped up to get her a coke. By this time the wait staff had heard what was happening and they were panicked. They didn’t even want to give her a coke until the chef had come out to talk to her. Chase politely grabbed the coke anyway and gave it to her.

And then we all waited…

Thankfully, she was okay! Phew!! The last thing I wanted to do was call her parents, who had very graciously given up their daughter at Thanksgiving, and tell them we had just put her in the emergency room.

Oh my word.

After we all relaxed, everyone loved the food! Of course!

We monorailed over to Magic Kingdom to finish out the night!

Our crowd is not boring while waiting for everyone:

We caught the castle lighting just as we walked in:

When we walked down the Main Street, the hub was crazy cray cray. Like you couldn’t move. Stephen’s parents were like, “Nope” and went right back to the hotel. Haha!

Ohana means family until we see the crowds at Magic Kingdom the night before Thanksgiving.

We toughed it out and made our way to Philharmagic. Peter Pan line was still insane!

The moon was beautiful! Impossible to photograph without a tripod, but oh well!

We almost got in line at Pirates, but we realized we wouldn’t make our Fastpasses at Buzz and we had two at Peter Pan. So we split and did those.

After Stephen and I finished at Peter Pan, we got in line to check Fastpass options and there were a few, but nothing that jumped out at us.

We met back at Pirates. We got all the way to the front of the line and were pulled off to the side because our party was so big.

So close! Dang it, Joan!

Next we went on the Jungle Cruise, which I totally forgot would be the Jingle Cruise until we were in line. I was so excited!

It was super cute!

Next we got in line at Aladdin. We lost half the group in line, who were clearly not interested in flying on Magic Carpets.

Ohana means family until you choose a ride I hate.

But the fireworks were going off while we rode, so that was awesome!

Next we got in line for the Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki room.

Oops, mistake. Stopping and standing at 11 o’clock at night just made everyone sleepier. I mean seriously. Look at this group:

The Tiki room ended up being hilarious to The Pneumonia and Scott, who I think laughed hysterically the whole time.

After we got out, we lost half the crowd again!

Ohana means family until you make me sit in the dark and listen to silly birds at 11 pm.

The rest of us got Dole Whips! We won!

We decided to go sit for the parade and eat our snacks.

We were on the front row, and every time someone passed us, Chase said “Hellllllooooo!!!!” and waved. I think every single performer on our side answered and waved and every character stopped.

It’s hilarious how much attention he got!

The parade ended up being great fun!

Next we walked over to Stitch! Yep. We did. 15 minutes of our life we can’t get back. My family was stunned that was actually an attraction. We were Alien Encounter fans.

We went to Laugh Floor next where my joke is never chosen! I cannot successfully get a joke on there!! But Stuart was “That Guy” and I think we had some other family appearances. It was quite hilarious.

Or maybe everything is hilarious this late at night?

Next we took a spin on the People Mover.

When we got off, Peter Pan was finally short enough!! Yay! Well it was posted at 40 minutes, but Lines was telling us it was only 20.

Some of the crowd wasn’t even down for 20. They peeled off for snacks and the hotel.

Ohana means family until you may be waiting 40 minutes in a line.

Peter Pan queue was awesome as always and I don’t remember how long we waited, but I don’t think 20 minutes was too far off.

After we got off, we decided we’d actually seen everything we wanted! It was time to go back!

Here were the only girlies left:

We had to take a clock picture to prove how long we actually made it! But the person who took the picture cut out the clock! Lol! It was 12:55 I think! We few, we happy few.
