Day 3 – Epcot and Giant Pizzas

Park day today! Woohoo!

We left the room at 8! The three bedroom room was a bit farther down the hall from the one bedroom, so the agreement was that we would walk by and get them in the mornings. Well it’s hard getting that many people out the door at the same time!

We ranged from exactly on time to 5 minutes late. There was some grumbling by some of the time sticklers.

Ohana means family unless you’re late and miss the bus!

Grandkids!

We took up the entire back of the bus!

Whoops, we missed rope drop!

Our goal was Test Track right away. I picked Soarin as our top tier Fastpass with the intention of being at Test Track at rope drop. My nephew Carter was not happy with this choice! Actually Ally wasn’t either!

But Test Track is Carter’s favorite and he could not fathom that someone would pick Soarin over Test Track. Oops again.

It takes a long time to get that many people through bag check and the line! But we’re in!

Kids took a selfie, but Ellie knew where the real camera was!

Carter was late for the first one!

Everyone was going to Test Track!

We got in a pretty long line!

Scott and Erin (okay really just Scott) reenacted the college girl’s picture pose. With a photobomb by Larry!

Ally and Erin!

While we were waiting, I convinced Carter to go get in the Single Rider line. I told him he could probably go twice before we got through. Chase and Olivia were convinced, they went too.

Ohana means family until the Single Rider line is a lot shorter!

We made it through car design. Our awesome car –

And then it broke! Ack!!!

They told anyone who had designed their car go go on through and they’d give us Fastpasses.

Paper Fastpass!

We were texting Carter and Chase to see where they were. Carter was on the ride and had to be evac’ed off. He was slightly excited and may or may not have taken some illegal pictures…

Chase was amused by Carter’s excitement.

We decided it was time to learn about some energy next! Hello, Stupid Judy!

Then we were off to use our Soarin’ Fastpasses.

In line!

When we got off we were all getting hungry, but our next Fastpass was in Future World and we wanted to go to the World Showcase.

This is one of those times when the app is awesome, and I got on my phone and changed our Fastpasses to later! Woohoo!

Some of us went to Mexico, some to France and some to the UK.

It was pretty empty over here.

I had fish and chips.

We tried, somewhat unsuccessfully for a little while, to meet up after that and started walking around.

Ohana means family until you walk the wrong way around the World Showcase to meet us! #justsayin

Waiting for everyone:

It was gorgeous out! Just gorgeous!

We regrouped in Italy!

America.

Dad always gets the funnel cake. I’m not mad.

Chase always gets a pretzel in Germany.

After we got the pretzel, we made our way to America to spread our golden wings!

Just in time for Voices of liberty!

The American Adventure goes like this for me. It starts with, “Wow, this is really good” then transitions into, “This is going on and on and on” followed by, “I am SO PROUD to be an American!!”

There are also some awkward moments when maybe they should have taken out some clips at the end of famous people who probably shouldn’t be recognized anymore.

Lance Armstrong, anyone?

After we got our patriotism on, we made our way to Mission Space!

Some went green and some went orange, and some did not go.

I did not go. The skies were ominous!

I had popcorn.

After Mission Space, Test Track was closed! I was beginning to worry a little. Carter was cursing my name in a loving nephew kind of way.

So we did Finding Nemo!

Shelfie!

When we got off, Test Track was open! Yay!

Stephen’s parents had walked enough, so some people went towards Test Track and Scott and I looked for somewhere for them to wait for us. I couldn’t remember if Starbucks had seats, so I ran up the ramp to check. It didn’t. I turned to run back down and collided with a little boy going top speed. He ran face first into my substantial camera.

I thought he was going to fall over so I grabbed his arm. He thought I was mad and looked like he was going to cry.

I wasn’t sure if it was scared crying or hurt crying! I mean my camera clocked him!

His parents ran up and were apologizing profusely. I assured them it was just as much my fault as it was his and I was worried about his face! I wasn’t worried about my camera, it was definitely harder than his face!

I didn’t see any huge welts appearing on him, so we all apologized again and left.

I caught up with everyone at Test Track. Yay! It was open and we made it!

Stephen and Scott and I decided to make the most ridiculous car we could. And I loved it.

Best car ever:

And would you believe we had one of the highest scores? We killed it.

After we finished we got Stephen’s parents and took the boat over to Italy. Dinner was at Via Napoli!

They called us back in two groups a few minutes apart, but we were all at the same table so I’m not sure why that happened.

Stuart is looking at me like – “Are you seriously taking a picture? Nothing is happening.”

Still cracks me up that you have to ask for bread.

We had great service and everyone loved the pizza!

Stephen and I got Arancini, which I love!

Everyone was also amazed by the size and there were a lot of pictures taken! Look at Scott’s reaction:

After eating we split up a little. Some of us went to Mexico to see the Three Caballeros.

I was trying to convince my brother-in-laws that they HAD to see Captain EO. I don’t think any of them remembered ever seeing it.

We walked over and oops! It was closed.

Brother-in-laws acted so sad.

So we caught the bus back and got in the hot tub.

Then it was bedtime!
