Day 2 – Pictures of All the Things

 

 

We woke up at 5! Hello, time change.

When we woke up at 4 am in Copenhagen, we had an amazing morning walking around an empty city! Stephen suggested we do that again until I reminded him that it was still dark out here. Ha!

Sunrise wasn’t until 7, so we worked a little until then.  Here it comes!

Then we walked! The first day somewhere is a picture heavy day for me. I’m afraid I’ll forget something, so I take everything the first day! Be prepared for picture overload.

Hello, lazy river. We would be back. Repeatedly.

We checked on the fish in the snorkeling lagoon.

We would also be back for Mama’s snacks, and Shave Ice!

Down to the beach!

Man, I love this resort. It’s Disney with a little “d”.  Disney quality and touches (like the Hawaiian versions of Disney songs in the elevator), but it doesn’t overwhelm the beauty and feel of Hawaii.

And it was a good time to get some SD-14 pictures without people staring. Lol

Okay, I won’t bore you with all of those! They’ll show up on his Instagram account at some point!

Then we walked inside.

We went up to the room next. It was so dark last night, I didn’t take any room pics. So here some are! Ignore our stuff!

Stephen had to take a phone call, so I got on my computer for a little while, and then we went down to find some chairs!

And we sat and did nothing aside from get up to take a random picture. And it was glorious.

The chairs were all socially distanced and zip tied together in groups so you couldn’t move them:

About 10:30 we realized we were starving! We scoped out what food was opening at 11:00, and right at 11, we were on it!

Stephen went to Mama’s Snack Stop and got an Ono sandwich.

I ordered from poolside dining and she brought me a burger and mocktail!

Cheeseburger in Paradise! Ha! See what I did there?

SD-14 came out for a mocktail picture.

After some more relaxing, we got in the hot tub for 30 minutes or so.

Then we walked the lagoons to dry off.

And we’re back!

Around 2 we went upstairs to shower.

Back in the room!

Then we walked over across the street to find Stephen some sunglasses. We also walked down the other way from the lagoon to look for turtles! But no luck!

Sunset:

That night we met some people Stephen works with for dinner. We ate at a local restaurant and I had pork nachos! It was yummy, but I couldn’t take pictures without appearing to be a crazy person. Ha! So no photos.

She was very sweet and brought us leis that smelled amazing! I hung them in our room to make it all smell good.

We fell asleep around 10!
