Day 10 – Statue of Liberty and NYC Friend Meetup!

Today was the end of Daylight Savings Time and the ship had changed two days ago while we were at sea. That was nice and totally made sense. But I can’t tell you how many times it messed us up! Like when I was trying to check in online for Southwest. Whoops, an hour early. Or book a cabana for someone at midnight. Whoops! 1:00! Yikes!

Well today our phone times didn’t update because we had manually updated, and we were up an hour too early! We were up and wide awake before we realized it!

Dang it, Joan!!!

But we did have some good views!

We went to breakfast later, one last time!

Hello, lady liberty!

Whoa line to get off!

But get off we did, and sweet Siobhan picked us up!! She took us to brunch and then to the airport.

Looky who was right there down the street from brunch!

Brunch was so fun, and it was great to catch up with Siobhan who had just gotten off the Magic!

Someone killed my suitcase…

So that was it! My first Royal experience!

I had a great time! I thought there were some things Royal got really right, and other things that Disney does much better. For a family, I’d recommend Disney first, hands down. But Royal is a great fit for others! And I am definitely looking forward to the next one!
