Day 3 – Resort and Catamaran
Today, we had big plans, but not until 1:30. Before that we were exploring!
We had breakfast in the Italian buffet. We ended up running into one of the Sandals execs who ate with us, so I didn’t want to take pictures!
After we finished, we were back to the lazy river! We also tried the slides which were great!
Next we swam up to the kiddie swim up bar!
I had a Fairy Princess. And I highly recommend it. And Heather cracked up when I said the words, “I would like to order a Fairy Princess.”
Next we went to the Italian Village pool! Heather swam up to the adult swim up bar here.
It was lunch time so we walked over to the Jerk Chicken Shack.
Unfortunately they needed more notice for Heather’s allergy. So we went back to Arizona’s!
Love this!
Lunch!
It was delicious, and I would have had two more, but I had also ordered a pizza because I really wanted to try it! It was definitely yummy!
Then it was time for our catamaran excursion!
Jenell wasn’t up for snorkeling today, so Heather and I were off!
We planted ourselves here:
Our first stop was snorkeling on a reef. They gave us instructions to go left first and let the current bring us back when we were done. We were some of the last ones off and we ended up with one of the crew.
He told us to go right!
Whaa?
Okay.
I tried to take pictures on my phone, but every time I put it under it went into burst mode! And I could not figure out why!
We snorkeled for quite a while! At one point I started worrying about the guy who was leading us. Was he really with our boat? Or were we following some guy who just happened upon our boat?
Lol
Luckily, we were good! And we saw some beautiful things!
After the snorkeling was over, the bar was open and the catamaran turned in to party central.
There was a DJ, dancing, drinks and food. We stayed on the side and watched through the window.
Next we stopped at a gorgeous, deserted beach.
Then we headed back!
We stopped to swim one more time!
When we got back, we only had 45 minutes until our dinner! Ack! We took off and went to our rooms to shower.
I raced, but I made it!
This was for us!
We had a fire dancer, live music, performers, awards, and a scrumptious dinner!
It was awesome!
After we finished, we found some comfy chairs by a pool and talked for an hour or so.
Next it was time to try again to meet up with everyone in a night club, so we went to the pub! Success! Everyone was there enjoying some fabulous karaoke!
We ended the night with some dancing and milkshakes. Then it was bedtime!
We headed home the next morning!
So how was it? I loved Beaches! I would take my family there in a heartbeat. I would take young or old kids! There was plenty for all ages to do.
What about adults only? If I was with my husband or other couples, I’d go to Sandals. If I was with non-couple adults or girls? I’d definitely go to Beaches. There were definitely kids around, but I never felt like it was oppressive or that I couldn’t get away from them! There were plenty of adult only spaces and barely any kids at all around after dinner.
It was such a great trip! I’m so glad we went! Thanks for reading!
