Day 2 – Meeting and Tours

We had an early morning session today, so we met early for breakfast.

There was an actual rooster cock-a-doodle doing outside my room. That was unexpected!

It was gorgeous out!

There was a non-alcoholic swim up bar for the kids! So cute!

We met up with several other travel agents and all had breakfast together at one of the buffets.

There were cupcakes at this breakfast buffet. Actual cupcakes. And pound cake. This was my favorite buffet ever.

After we finished, we walked upstairs and learned for about 3 hours. It was great!

Then we broke into small groups to tour the resort and some of the room categories.

We started at the Sushi bar.

The fitness center:

The stage for character shows and other entertainment.

The French Restaurant!

Italian buffet:

We’re walking!

This is a room in the French village. Very similar to mine!

The water park:

Teen club!

Xbox Lounge:

Full of grown men. Lol

Bobby Dee’s with ice cream, popcorn, cotton candy, hamburgers, etc. It’s open just about 24-7.

Leaving the kid’s area.

Activity schedule:

Walking to the Italian Village:

The Italian Village is just lovely!

The rooms had bunk beds:

Great views!

Now we were off to Key West, which was a really neat area.

There were a lot of multiple room villas in Key West.

Adult pool!

Here’s the buffet in Key West with Sky restaurant above where we would eat later!

Next villa!

I could sit here a very long time.

This four bedroom villa with a pool was awesome. Heather was clearly planning a vacation in her head.

This is where we ate dinner the night before:

We walked for about 3 hours with no food and I was dying at this point. Hanger was real. I didn’t even take pictures of the last couple of rooms!

Oops!

But we did see great things and finally finished! We went to eat at Arizona’s. They had an outdoor grill and indoor buffet. There was a fresh smoothie bar at the outdoor grill! That’s so cool!

Food finally!

Dessert:

After we ate, we walked down to the beach for a minute.

The water was just spectacular.

Then we changed into our swimsuits and went to the water park!

Heather and I floated in the lazy river for a very very long time.

Then we got ice cream!

Next we went to the beach! The water was warm and glorious. I would normally pick a beautiful pool over the ocean, but this was an exception.

I noticed a water hammock was available, so Jenell grabbed a chair and I swam out to grab it.

And then the most hilarious 30 minutes ensued. As soon as I climbed on, the whole side tipped in the water. I tried to center and it started spinning and sinking.

I was laughing so hard. I figured I must be doing something wrong! I decided it must be because Heather wasn’t there yet and it needed two people.

I took a few pictures when I wasn’t sinking.

Heather came soon with her drink. The people closer to the shore told her I needed help. Clearly. Lol

But guess what? Having two people didn’t help! We spun and sunk and laughed and screamed. (rofl)

Every time we thought we were stable, it all went wrong!

But somehow Heather didn’t even spill her drink!! Mad skillz!

We finally gave up and decided it was broken.

We ended up just sitting in the shallow end for a while!

We were quite pleased that we saw others struggling later too.

Broke. Definitely broke.

Then we found the adult hot tub! And we heated up and then relaxed for a while.

But alas, we had to go eventually and get dressed for dinner.

We met back up at Sky for a beautiful dinner as the sun set! I didn’t bring my real camera.

After dinner we relaxed in some comfy chairs by the beach.

Then we went to the chocolate buffet! Because that’s never a bad thing.

We ended the night in a club where we were supposed to be meeting a bunch of people, but they were at a different club!

Oh well! Bed time!
