Day 3 – Live Zoom!

Today we met up with some other agents and the dive instructor to snorkel!  Woo hoo!

That did mean we had to get up at 6:30 though.  Yuck!

Good morning, Turks!

We went for a quick breakfast.

We walked down the beach to the dive shop:

I left my camera and bag at the dive shop and we got all our gear. We walked about 10 minutes down the beach to the snorkeling spot. We snorkeled for about an hour?

We saw two rays, and many many turtles.

At one point I was behind the instructor and he popped up and said, “Shark!! Follow me!”

Ack!!!

I ducked under, saw the tail and started to follow the dive instructor and the shark.

Wait. What?

Why were we following a shark?

Ha! I have no good reason.

Anyway, the shark took off and we did not see him again! We came in shortly after that and walked back.

We went right to the pool outside our room for a little while.

We swam for a while and then got dressed for our live Zoom meeting.

Look at this amazing day!

We met Neal for lunch at Cricketers.

I had fish and chips! And was apparently starving because I didn’t take a picture.

We finished lunch and ran back to the room to do some final prep. Then we were off to our Zoom location – one of the four bedroom villas! I loved the layout of this one.

This was the back patio.  You can see the adult pool back there:

Upstairs!

This balcony! I would eat every meal out here.

Back downstairs:

We did our live Zoom meeting, and then headed out. Here’s the front yard for this room:

Goodbye, villa!

I love you!  Haha!

Here’s the room number for future requests:

Walking back!

We changed and then went for a walk on the beach!

This water just blows me away.

We passed some other resorts, and Audrey wanted to go take a peek. I was way too chicken to ask, but not Audrey! So she went and asked! They all said yes!

This was The Somerset –

Very nice! Next was The Palms!

When we got back to Beaches, we headed back to our room. Or we started to.

We only made it a few steps off the beach when a security guard approached us. He very politely asked where we were headed. We told him we were staying there and he asked to see our key. He also got our names and room number.

Tight security! I like it!

This is the pool by Sky:

We passed Neptune’s. We would come back later in the week!

Dinner tonight was at the hibachi place – Kimonos!

We got there a little early, so we sat outside.

When we got inside, they told us another family would sit with us so we went to get drinks. This was a mocktail of some kind:

Then they called us in!

I think the next family to show up was too big, so they couldn’t seat us with anyone else and keep us apart. So it was just the two of us!

They moved us to the middle when they realized it would just be the two of us. Food!

We soon realized that hibachi for two is – awkward? Like it’s tooooo much attention.

Food was amazing though!

We had a very abbreviated dinner show (I think the chef also knew it was awkward), but we enjoyed watching the tables around us!

There was a lot of group karaoke happening which we joined in with, of course. Backstreet Boys at hibachi. Try it! You may like it.

We passed on dessert and went to Cricketers! Audrey was sad we missed dessert at lunch, so we stopped to get some. She ordered one of all three, and had a little dessert buffet! Brilliant.

Then we ended the night in the adult hot tub! Knocking them off our check list!

I love hibachi. That looks delicious!

I think Audrey’s dessert buffet is a brilliant way to end a great day.
