Day 3 – Day of Palo Brunch and Enjoying the Suite
It was Nassau day! But we had no plans in Nassau. My main goal was to enjoy this suite while we had it. We had Palo brunch in the morning, but after that we planned to stay in the suite and invite anyone over who wanted!
I woke up at 7 am! We went to bed around 1, so that was a pretty short night. But once I woke up and realized where I was, no way I could go back to sleep.
And Stephen was still asleep! That never happens!
So I woke him up. I thought he would be sad if I was awake and he wasn’t. Ha!
I lay in bed for about 30 minutes answering birthday messages on Facebook – because UNLIMITED internet.
Then I realized we had time to jump in the hot tub before brunch! So we did.
Hello, Nassau!
Ahhh. This is the life.
I took SD-14 out there for pictures too.
He even took a dip in the tub.
At night they moved the table and chairs up against the windows, so they didn’t get blown around. They moved them back out every day!
I jumped in the shower after and got ready for brunch! We still weren’t docked yet, so the clear glass was safe! But I told Stephen just in case we pulled up next to another ship more quickly than I was expecting, he needed to be prepared to run in the bathroom and flip the switch if I yelled! Ha!
Brunch was with Katia again, and was delicious as always. We had soooo much food. Mukta ordered four entrees!! Four! That’s doing Palo right.
Katia took our picture –
And then jumped in for a selfie!
For some of us, this was some our third selfie with her!
I highly recommend requesting Katia at Palo!
One funny thing about her, we realized at some point that she was calling Heather – Heater. Like a water heater. Stephen, in particular, found this hilarious and calls her Heater to this day.
After brunch we rolled ourselves out and went back to the suite!
Missy and Levi said hi from Satellite Falls and then came to join us!
We had two cabanas in our room! All ready for tomorrow!
Everyone came by at some point and we spent all afternoon there. It was possibly the perfect day onboard.
There’s Kris and Shallon!
At some point Levi and Missy went to get some pizza from Flo’s and bring it back to eat. Levi opened our door to go out, but Missy stopped him to get something. So he stood there for a few seconds with his fingers holding the door open.
My mom and dad walked up at that exact moment, and mom assumed that was Stephen’s fingers. So she tickled his fingers with her fingers!
When Levi opened the door to see who it was and why they were touching his fingers, my mom almost died. She was soooooo embarrassed!
The rest of us found it absolutely hilarious. And Mom and Levi started wiggling fingers at each other every time they saw each other for the rest of the cruise. It was their own special greeting. Lol
Look at this amazing hat!
We learned the first afternoon that the doorbell to the room didn’t ring on the verandah. We learned this when poor Mukta was trapped outside our door while we all partied inside without her. Whoops!
So all afternoon we kept the deadbolt locked to prop the door open. We knew everyone would be coming and going and we didn’t want anyone stuck outside again! Apparently this stressed out the crew a little. They were worried someone would come in and take our stuff! Ha!
Ally and Sarah came by to sunbathe and use the hot tub.
Someone from room service stopped by to refill our Mickey bars. Without us even asking! So I had to have one.
Missy and Heather and I got in the hot tub later too! Hot tub life!
After a wonderful afternoon, it was time for dinner in Animators!
I’d requested Sebastian who we had on the last Ladies of Leisure. He was from Germany and he was great! My parents enjoyed talking to him about Germany since we lived there when I was young!
He remembered I liked French fries for an appetizer!
I had pasta for dinner!
Mom was gnawing on something. Ha!
I had ice cream for dessert!
But then Sebastian brought out a Happy Birthday dessert, and everyone sang!
So double desserts!
Tonight was Beauty and the Beast! We went early to get seats in the middle. Beauty and the Beast is one of the few shows I feel strongly about sitting in the middle for. There’s a lot happening on both sides, so you don’t want to miss it! We brought some popcorn from the concierge lounge and went way early!
Everyone loved it, as I knew they would.
Tonight was also pirate night so we were trying to figure out where to go for fireworks after the show. Our suite was on the wrong side of the ship for it. The Roy Suite is on the starboard side if you want to watch fireworks from your suite!
I don’t remember if I said, but I picked the Walt Suite because I like the layout better. In the Walt, the bathroom is against the windows, and the bedroom is in the interior. In the Roy, the bedroom is against the windows, and the bathroom is in the interior. I can see others wanting the views from the bedroom!
I liked the views from the bathtub. 😊
We realized Dad and Mom’s suite was on the starboard side, so a bunch of us went there! We had about 30 minutes, so we sat in their room and talked and ate their snacks. The fireworks were awesome as always, and we strolled by the pirate buffet just to look!
And then looking wasn’t enough. And we ate. Because we hadn’t had enough food.
We skipped the adult area tonight and went to bed after!
That was another great day!
