Day 3 – Back From Space!

Today we would come back from space!

You could get off as early as 6:30, but we were in no hurry.

While I was getting ready, I thought, oh we are back, I could take my phone off airplane mode!

And then I realized I’m an idiot.  Because I wasn’t in airplane mode.  Because we didn’t actually go to space!!

Goodness.  So immersed.

I took a few pics of the room.

Here’s the little table that pulls out:

And the remote control to the giant datapad!

Here’s the fifth bed:

And the iron and ironing board they would bring upon request:

Last letter:

Bed details:

We said goodbye to D3-09, our logistics droid. She reminded us what we said we were most looking forward to at the beginning of the cruise, and asked if we had accomplished those things!

Goodbye room!

We left our luggage outside, just like a cruise!

Breakfast!

The atrium one last time.

Here’s the grab and go breakfast!

The store was closed, if you wanted something, you had to buy it the night before! One last time on the bridge!

We took a picture for someone, who took a picture for us!

Back on the transport!

And we are back on Earth!

There was a different store right outside that was open for a little while:

And then our car pulled up, with our luggage already preloaded!! That was awesome. What a great touch!

Final thoughts –

So, that was amazing. From start to finish!

It was one of the best things I’ve ever done with Disney.

It was incredibly expensive, and yet, after doing it, I understand why. And I would do it again.

The cast members at Disney are incredible. And the crew of the Halcyon took it to an even higher level. They weren’t just there to make your trip amazing, they were full on improv actors. They seriously blew us away.

Obviously, I’m a huge ocean cruise fan. And this reminded me of an ocean cruise in so many ways. In so many good ways!

It was immersion like none other I have ever experienced. We were fully invested and involved. I do believe that dressing up added to that!

Having said that, I think you can be as involved as you want to! If you are more comfortable in Earth clothes, wear Earth clothes. If you don’t want to run around on missions, and interact with the characters, don’t. You can still have an amazing trip!

I’ve already got my next voyage planned, we are planning on early April for the next one! This time, with Stephen!

I wrote a blog on some things I loved that may touch on some things I didn’t touch on here. Here that is if you want to read it!
