Day 2 (Part One) – Excursion to Batuu

Day two! Woohooo!

We woke up early, and both slept great. Mukta slept on the bunk bed, and I slept in the bed. They were both comfortable.

We slept great, not long though. Too much to do! Ha!

We got ready fairly quickly to meet the guys at breakfast.

There were a ton of towels in our room, which I love. And the shower was huge!

We met at 7 am for the breakfast buffet.

They had Coke Zero!

Cute little yogurts.

There were Chandrila waffles!! So cute!

One of the crew members came by to check on us, and she told Mukta this was the last time she would see them because she was going home. Mukta couldn’t figure out how she would get home?  We were on a spaceship?

That took a minute to figure out. Ha!

I’m telling you, we were deep in immersion. While we ate, one of the other crew members came by to see if we needed anything. We asked if they had any POG? He said he had heard that people from our planet enjoyed POG, and he said he would check to see if he could find any.

He did! Woohoo!

But we were almost done, so we poured it in to-go cups and we were off! They did also have a grab and go option in the lounge if you didn’t want to sit for breakfast, which was a great idea.

Our transport to Batuu was listed at 8:40, but we were hoping to go earlier. We went to board, and it was no problem at all!

They passed out our special pins, so people in Batuu would know we were from the Halcyon!

Trust me, we wanted everyone to know we were from the Halcyon! I liked the transport. It was a great way to get from the ship to Batuu.

We disembarked into a quiet part of Batuu.

Len sent me this tip –

We were on it! Here’s Mukta’s VERY SPECIAL pin:

Our datapads were giving us missions all over Batuu! We have been to Batuu many, many times, and I didn’t think it would be a big deal to be there. But it was really fun! It was nice to see Batuu in a different way, and do something different there.

Well we didn’t do everything different, we did ride Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler’s Run, of course. And our missions gave us a reason to!

Not that we needed one.

First up was Rise –

It never gets old!

We popped into the Droid Factory afterwards. Look at these cool new accessories!

Here’s Mukta on a mission:

And lots of us Halcyon guests on missions:

When we were scanning our bands for Smuggler’s, the cast member saw our bands and told everyone else to get out of the way for us! He said, “Everyone move aside! We have royalty here!” We did not mind that one bit.

We had lots of reactions to our bands and pin. Cast members asked us how our cruise was going, helped us when appropriate, and moved aside to let us through when they saw us coming. It was so fun!

Or as Mukta said – the best day of her life.

We had reservations for Ogas at 10:00, and when we checked in, we were given a token to help with our mission, and lots of messages popped up!

We’re in!

I had a mocktail of some kind:

And then we were off for some more work for the resistance! Excuse the humidity hair!

There were small groups of Halcyon guests around, scanning crates and doing the same things we were. I noticed many other guests trying to scan to figure out what on earth we were looking at. Sometimes we said something, sometimes it just seemed bragadocious, so we didn’t!

We did notice at one point, that our special entrance and exit alley to the Halcyon transport, they had water and cold towels for us to stop by and get! That was so nice!

We had planned on eating lunch on the Halcyon, but we were still running around, and hey, lunch was free. So we went to Docking Bay 7!

Mukta got hers first and said she would go get a table. When a manager saw her wandering around the packed restaurant, he told her to wait right there, and he would go find her a table.

I’m telling you, that Halcyon pin made things happen. Here’s mine!

While we were in Batuu, we missed some cute activities back on board, but we were okay with that. We missed a Porg detection drill for younglings, droid racing, and some other things. These extra activities are great for guests that didn’t want to do missions! Later in the day there were also dance lessons, bingo lessons, and I’ve heard they are now offering a mixology class. It’s so much like an ocean cruise!!

After we did everything we could, it was time to board our transport back!

What a fun excursion! More to come!
