Day 4 – Christmas Eve Breakfast with Characters!

Today was breakfast at Makahiki!  Character breakfasts are expensive, and this one was no exception.  While I love them, we don’t generally do them anymore.  But Len said it was their favorite meal, so okay!

Good morning, Aulani!

When we got downstairs, it was sprinkling a little and Mickey was inside in a dark corner taking pictures. Nooooooooooo!! I asked if there was any chance he would go outside, and they said since the rain was ending, he probably would. I said we would like to wait until he was outside, so we went and sat in the bar until he moved! It was only 5-10 minutes.

Worth it!!!

Hello, family!

The money shot –

We went and sat down and ordered our drinks. POG all around!

We also got our food. This buffet was amazing!!! The food was so so good. I love pancakes, but I avoid them on buffets because they are never good. But these? Light and fluffy and perfect. And red velvet Mickey waffles? OKAY!

Hi Minnie!

Ally was a fan of the coffee.

Pluto!

That was probably my favorite character meal I’ve done! I highly recommend it!

Today we were going to Pearl Harbor. The actual memorial was still closed, so we went to the USS Missouri Memorial.

The carolers were in the lobby!

My children took my phone:

We made it to the memorial.

That is always a moving place to visit!

When we got back, it was hot so we went for shave ice!

We also passed a cookie and cocoa celebration and grabbed some.

Stephen wanted to join in on the cel painting class, so I went along. I’d done it before with Kelly on DCL, so I knew it was fun!

Here’s mine!

We decided to get dinner at the Oleo room bar tonight! We tried allllll the non-alcoholic drinks!

Dinner was yummy, but it was way too dark for pictures. There was live music as well, and it was a great way to spend an evening!

When we got back, we opened our Christmas presents! Because that’s what we do in my family. We open on Christmas Eve. #sorrynotsorry

Our children got us a couples massage!! Wha??? I had never had a massage before! Well that was going to be fun!
