Day 2 – Nassau, Kind Of

I was sleeping so well this morning, and Stephen was tired of waiting for me to wake up.  Eventually he leaned over and asked when I was waking up!

I guess now?

Okay, times a wasting!

We went up for breakfast in The Galley.

There were lots of options!

I had pancakes!

Stephen had French toast.

Then we explored! This was Razzle Dazzle, the veggie-forward restaurant. Veggie forward. Yikes!

This is the super cool entrance to Pink Agave, which is upscale Mexican.

Here’s the atrium:

This is Test Kitchen:

Back to the atrium!

I did love the purple accents!

We did think the grey could feel a bit battleshippy at times, so the pops of color were great!

We were right next to Mariner!

And Oasis!

There were some great views from The Dock.

This was the theater, the seats fold up to utilize the space differently:

We had these towels waiting for us in the room:

We stopped for some drinks.  I was quite happy with the amount of Coke Zero onboard!

These were the private karaoke rooms you can rent. That’s a fun idea!

We decided to get off in Nassau! Just for a second. I wanted ship pictures! So, we didn’t go far.

She’s a pretty ship!

I took a lot of pictures!

When we got back on, we went to grab pizza for lunch. The pizza place was great!

It was the kind of build your own idea that’s so popular these days. We each picked what we on our pizzas and went and sat down. We talked to some another guest while we waited, and then we dug in!

It was quite good! But we definitely needed ice cream after.

I had chocolate ice cream with a red velvet cone! Here’s a horrible picture:

If you’ve heard anything about Virgin Voyages, you’ve probably heard the name of the ice cream place. It’s innuendo to the max, and I can’t even bring myself to type it. You can google. The ice cream was excellent though!

Tonight was the red party, and the ship was starting to transform!

Then we went to the room. I forgot to say that we had a suitcase missing for 24 hours! Stephen’s, not mine thankfully!

Well, it finally showed up! Woohoo!

And they sent us wine as an apology. Or should I say, Missy and Levi now had wine for our apology.

Then we went on a walk! The pool was hopping!

Stephen peeping on Atlantis.

We went through The Galley. They have a self service wine station!

And self service Coke.

Then we went through the gym. This was just one part of it. It was really big. I feel like Virgin overestimated the work out space they needed, and underestimated the size of the pools!

But more power to the work-outers!

The octopus was growing!

There was also a game meet up going on, which I thought was a good idea!

The snacks were finally going to open! We kept missing them!

Stephen tried out a game.

We ended up in the atrium.

My friend Chuck came by and sat with us.  He told us that one of the rooms he was traveling with had quite an experience. The son (adult of course), sat on the toilet, and IT CAME OUT OF THE WALL. We were like – what?!!

That friend came by and told us all about it later too. That’s crazy!

The crew did fix it of course! I’m guessing they got more than a bottle of wine!

Some entertainment started while we were there, a show called Scoop There It Is. They picked some volunteers, they tried to get Stephen, but he declined knowing that anything onboard could take a turn for the racy, so they found someone else. They told him, he was their backup!  That they didn’t need, thankfully!

It veered a little towards racy, but it could have been worse. It drew a big crowd!

They had some things out to borrow for the party tonight!

We went up the room to change into something red for dinner.

We met back up at Extra Virgin where we were having dinner. And what a dinner it was!

They had donuts for dessert! My word, I was in heaven.

At the end they brought out Stephen’s favorite thing ever – an ice cream trolley. There were several different flavors, plus toppings. They even had Espresso to pour over it!

This meal was absolutely spectacular. We all thought it was some of the best food we’d ever had on a cruise ship.  Truly!

We went down to the Dock to see what was happening down there.

This ship had lots of great lounge spaces and seating areas!  There were lots of plugs and USB ports around, a lot of the ship was very well thought out.

There was a big party happening for Scarlet Lady night. And it was happening all over the ship!

We ended up in a lounge, and Missy and Levi ordered some champagne. We had some mocktails.

They brought the champagne bottle in an ice bucket, and when the bartender set it down, the table tipped over! There was ice everywhere! He felt bad, but we thought it was quite funny.

We just moved to another table.

While we were sitting and talking, and enjoying some live music, some roaming musicians came and asked if we wanted to go to a secret party!

We decided the answer to that should always be yes. They picked up a few more people along the way, and led us to our destination.

We ended up in a hidden room with about 20 seats, which we think was normally the secret poker room, and we got a private concert!

Lol.

This is where we were:

After the concert, we went on a short hunt for my reading glasses which we had lost somewhere along the way, and then went up top to see what was happening up there!

Well. Nothing yet. It looked cool though!

We went back down to search for glasses some more, dropped off my camera in the room, and swung by the lobby.

We watched this performance, and I took some phone pictures.

We then went to the Dock until the big party started. There was a little party here.

Karaoke was happening up top!

These are fun!

The big party was getting started!

There was dancing, music, and finally, lots of guests jumping in the pool fully clothed!

This is some of the best people watching there is! Finally, we said goodnight, and went to bed!
