Day 7 – Civilization!
Good morning, world! We slept really well!
They brought us our breakfast.
Then we went down to the room for showers. We saw some sea lions out our verandah!
Today we took zodiacs to a town! This was the first civilization we had seen since the airport. Crazy! This guy was there to welcome us.
We signed up for a fitness walk. It was a little misty out today.
We ended in the Interpretation Center, and then made our way back to town to wander a little. It really was a little jarring to be in a town for the first time in several days!
Even the towns had sea lions.
And iguanas.
Morning video!
We were back on the ship by lunch! We had a little snack first.
We also had a little thank-you-for-glamping gift in our room!
After lunch, we went to the hot tub.
We met a nice group of ladies and we chatted for a little while. Everyone agreed this trip was amazing!
They asked what our favorite part was, and I said probably the groves of turtles and the penguins. They all agreed theirs was the snorkeling (the one I SLEPT THROUGH!!), so I just smiled and said it must have been amazing while I felt the knife dig even deeper!
Oy, oy.
Stephen was facing the back of the ship, and at one point he said – I just saw a dolphin jump in the wake! Oh there’s another one! Oh there are like FIFTY MORE!
They were all behind us and jumping and playing and we all screamed! I wanted to go get my camera but I knew they would be gone! I jumped out of the hot tub and tried to film, but I was too excited and didn’t hit record. Operator error, lol.
Afterwards we – you guessed it – took showers, got ready for the afternoon hike. We looked out the verandah once and saw a huge pod of dolphins near the ship again! There were easily 75 or more! It was so cool! I had my camera this time, but they were a little farther away.
Time to hike!
We saw Red Footed Boobies this time!
Their beaks do not match their feet!
Hiking video!
Today when we got back, there were crepes! He keeps outdoing himself! I also forgot to say, they always had hot towels for us too!
We showered, lol, and went to the excursion meeting. Then it was time for dinner!
Chocolate souffle! Yay!
We convinced some of our friends to join us for one of my favorite cruise activities – silent DJ! Woot woot!
Then it was bedtime!
