Day 3 – Sunburns and Shade
Today I woke up at 8! Not bad at all!
We were in Cozumel! Not that you could tell from our side of the ship.
We weren’t sure what we were going to do that day. We had planned to go to Paradise Beach, but we were going to wait and see what the weather was like. Well, the Captain came on and said they were expecting some rain here and there, and it wasn’t all that warm out. So we decided to mostly stay onboard today!
We went up to the lounge for coffee and hot chocolate.
And donuts!
While we sat there, the sun came out!
We decided to get off and walk around a little while it was sunny! I always need ship pictures!
She’s so pretty!
Phone pic of Debbie in the wind!
Hello, Cozumel!
I spy a ship through there!
We stopped in a few shops along the way, including the large duty free shop by the pier. I was on a hunt for Cloudem! No luck at all!
We searched the internet too, and I couldn’t even find anywhere to order it from! Dang it, Joan!
When we got back on, we decided to go up to the concierge sundeck for a while. It was turning into a nice day!
We walked through the atrium which was totally empty. I decided it was a good time for pictures! So Debbie went up without me, and I played with my new camera.
I love long exposures when no one is waiting for me!
Then I went up and met Debbie. We had a quick snack in the lounge.
Then we found some comfy chairs!
The temperature was actually kind of perfect. It wasn’t hot because there was a breeze, and it wasn’t cold because of the sun. The only downside is the sunburn that Debbie got because it never felt hot!
I went to get lunch at some point.
I had an eclectic lunch.
With ice cream, of course!
We stayed out there for about 3 hours reading and relaxing. Then we went to get in the hot tub by the adult pool.
When we were headed back to the room to get ready for dinner, we passed Captain Mickey in the wild!
Whenever we were in the room, we watched a movie. We finished Enchanted and started Beauty and the Beast at some point!
There was a door knock, and guess who? Just Jay this time! But he had Cloudem!
Tonight’s dinner was in Triton’s. I had my favorite appetizer:
Don’t judge me. With Mickey ketchup!
Debbie had a salad:
And a seafood dinner!
Wendell gave us a brain teaser. Move two sticks to make this four squares instead of five:
Answer! Don’t look if you don’t want to know!
There was a beautiful sunset happening when we left dinner!
We went to the lounge for a little while.
Oops! More Cloudem!
We stopped by the room before the show, and we had quite the towel animal! Thank goodness he didn’t scare us! Lol
Then we went to see Frozen which I hadn’t seen in a few years. It’s just spectacular. Frozen fan or not, those performers are incredibly talented!
We went up to the lounge after the show because it was Pirate night! I had a snack while we waited for fireworks!
We watched the fireworks from the concierge sundeck! It’s a great view from up there!
I’m not going to lie, I’m a horrible fireworks picture taker. Especially with no tripod, especially on a moving ship. Ha!
But here’s basically what we saw:
That was great! Here’s a view of the lounge from the outside!
Then it was bedtime! Sea day tomorrow!
