Day 3 – Hiking to Kaena Point

I woke up early again! Stephen was up this morning and I think he was running? I can’t remember. I went out onto the verandah to have my breakfast.

Today we were going hiking! We were hiking to Kaena Point which was about 5 mile hike round trip. So we packed up some snacks and water and took off!

We drove about 20 minutes to the starting point and started walking!

There was no shade on this walk and it was pretty hot out!

Finally we were at the end section! We walked through this little gate and I seriously felt like we had just entered the aviary in Jurassic Park.

The end of this hike was through sand and it was exhausting!

I was too tired and hot to take pictures on the way back, and I think Stephen even carried my camera for me the whole way back. I cannot even tell you how much I would have paid for a cold coke right now.

When we finally made it back to the car we drove right to a 7-11 and got cokes and Icees.

When we got back to the resort, we changed and went downstairs for lunch and some pool time.

I had chicken fingers! You can see the rest of my coke you can see in the background.

Ally loved the beach so we went there first.

Next we took a spin on the lazy river and then the slide:

After we were all cooled off and rested, we went upstairs to shower and eat dinner.

We went back downstairs around sunset and made ourselves comfortable.

I walked back to the Ulu Café for a snack after a little while.

Tonight was the Starlit Hui! The Starlit Hui is a Luau type show that happens a few times a week. There’s dancing, ukuleles, singing, characters, it’s great fun!

The line was pretty long to get in.
