Day 3 – Galaxy’s Edge Before Dawn

Today they were doing extra early Magic Hours at O’dark thirty.  I believe they opened at 6 am.  So we got up at 4:30, waited for a bus, and got there around 5:30.

We weren’t the only ones!

At opening, they walked us in a group back to Galaxy’s Edge. We stopped to see Chewy and Rey fixing the fighter!

There were storm troopers out!

When we made it to Smuggler’s Run, the wait was huge! We’d both already ridden several times, so we wandered.

When we passed Oga’s, they were practically begging people to come in! Okay!

There were about 12 people inside, and we had so much fun. SD-14 thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Phone pic of food!

Our server was hilarious! At one point, I was taking a picture of Mukta’s spicy drink. He posed in the background, and then said, “There’s more than one hot thing in that picture!”

Ha!  Well played.

It was getting light when we went outside.

We hopped in the single riders line for Smugglers, and rode pretty quickly.

We’re on the Falcon!

Then we shopped!

Then we wandered the Studios and took pictures of SD-14. I won’t bore you with all of them!

After a lovely morning in Hollywood Studios, we went back to Gran Destino to get our bags and head to the Grand Floridian! Our home for the next three nights!

We checked in, and our room was not ready. We must have eaten lunch in here at some point, but I can’t find any pictures of what we did!

We spent the next few hours camped out in the lobby, waiting for the room is ready text. The friendly cast members gave us snacks, and I walked back and forth to fill my mug a few times.

Kris arrived at some point, and we waited some more.

Finally, our room was ready! Woohoo!

We had a two-bedroom villa with Kris, Sherry, Joy, and Misty on the last night!

This tub though…

And you could have a party in this shower! It would be a weird party, but people would fit!

Here’s our view!

And our ginormous balcony!

We posed SD-14 all over for pictures.

We relaxed for a while, and then we headed out!

We were meeting Joanna at Disney Springs for dinner!

A delicious dinner at Enzo’s Hideaway!

That was so yummy!

After dinner, we went back to Galaxy’s Edge!  We had reservations at Oga’s!

We sat at a table with a friendly group.  Mukta talked one of them into trying the Fuzzy Tauntaun.

When it came and his mouth got numb, he was in shock.   We were all laughing.  He said, “You Beverly’d me!!”

We all thought that was hilarious.  And accurate.

Then we took Kris on Smuggler’s for the first time!  At one point we were in the back of the hallway and they asked for groups of three.  That was us!

We yelled that we had three and she yelled back to come down.  Everyone scooted against the wall to let us pass – and then starting cheering and clapping as we walked through this newly formed people tunnel!

We cheered and raised our arms like we had won a major sporting event.  It was all quite humorous.

Our pilot for this ride, unfortunately did not speak English, and didn’t even touch the controls for the first half of the flight.  We basically skidded along the bottom the entire time.  It was pretty funny!

Kris gave it two thumbs up despite the bumpy ride, and we left to go back to bed.  It was a fun day!
