Day 3 – California Adventure

We were up in time for to get into California Adventure early, but not crazy early!

Ally and Deborah decided to sleep a little longer and we let them! DDD.  :D

We went down to the special hotel entrance and the line was insane! The cast members were telling people they would be in line for at least 30 minutes and should go around to the main entrance. I knew this line moved very quickly so we stuck it out.

It took about 15.

We parted ways with the masses as they went towards Cars Land and we went back to Paradise Pier.

We walked on to Toy Story and had so much fun we got right back in line!

The line should have been about 10 minutes long, but it broke down and we waited about 20-30. The girls caught up with us in line so it worked out.

I am not good at Midway Mania. That is all.

So we went to the ride that everyone does well! Screamin! It was a walk on.

Screamin’ Selfie!

I had promised everyone that there would still be Fastpasses for Radiator Springs if we waited, and I was a tiny bit nervous I was wrong.

But I wasn’t! The line was decent, but they still had them! I knew it all along.   :D

I took pictures while Stephen waited in line.

We walked through Bugs Land and out past Tower of Terror. Trolley!

While we were walking we spotted an old friend!

Dying that I didn’t have my big lens!

We walked back towards the wharf next. We stopped for free bread an educational bread tour.

We bought our favorite bread! That was not DDD!

See? We recreated a favorite picture!

He hasn’t changed much, right? *Sniff*

The girls rode Grizzly River Run. Some of us preferred dry.

We found this awesome cover in the ground! I’m sure that stands for Storybook Destinations, right?

Lunch was at the new SmokeJumpers Grill.

Chase had chicken nuggets:

Stephen and I had a chicken sandwich:

Love this fountain.

We rode the Jumpin Jellyfish next! Haven’t been on them in years.

Then the girls rode the swings!

Then it was time for our Radiator Springs Fastpass.

After one of the most awesomest rides in Disney’s inventory, it was time for these little beauties:

That was different, because normally I would have a Mickey bar! These were awesome though.

We caught Aladdin next. I fell asleep at the beginning (from tiredness not boredom!) and woke up to the show being stopped for technical difficulties.

But it went on!

We finally timed the trolley right, and rode the trolley to dinner.

Dinner tonight was with Mukta at Carthay Circle! Yum!

Favorite bread:

Dinner!

One of Ally’s teachers in Vegas was a chef who knew a lot of people. He knew Alex, the head chef at Carthay and told him we were coming. After we finished eating we asked if he was there and he came out! He was looking for Ally’s name on a reservation and missed us. He stayed and talked for a little while, he was super nice!  :)

Mukta snagged us some World of Color Fastpasses so she, Stephen and I went to watch, and the kids went back to the room. It was wonderful as always.  Thank you, Mukta!

After we said goodbye (and see you at the girls cruise next time!! :D :D :D), Stephen went upstairs and I met the girls in Sephora for a little late night shopping.

Then we hit the hay for the last time with one more day to play ahead of us!
