Day 2 – Stopping Off at Beaches and Royal Plantation
Have I mentioned, that I absolutely love waking up to the sound of the ocean!
We started the day with a couple of hours in a conference room, getting updates about all the resorts. It was super helpful!
Then we headed out for some tours!
We actually started across the street!
At Sandals Ochi. Ha!
Ochi is cut in half by a main road. One side has the beach and is more quiet. The other side has a giant pool, some restaurants, a Speakeasy, and more rooms! It’s a little more active over there.

There’s the Speakeasy over there! We would be back there that night!
This is one of the Romeo and Juliet suites, as seen on The Bachelor!
After a few room tours, we headed out to tour Ochi Beaches!
There are three Beaches resorts, Ochi, Negril, and Turks and Caicos. Beaches is owned by Sandals, and it’s all inclusive for families.
I love Beaches, and wish I had discovered them when my children were younger!
I had already been to Turks and Caicos which blew me away!
Ochi is a much smaller Beaches, but still had its charms!

We were met with refreshing drinks! This is a non-alcoholic something or other!

After we finished at Beaches, we were off to the golf course! The Golf Club at Ochi is super convenient and just beautiful! We toured on golf carts!
Green fees are included when you are staying at Ochi or Royal Plantation!

After we finished, we went back to the resort to relax before dinner! I went to the pool! It was lovely.
We had a great dinner with everyone, and then we were off to the Speakeasy! There are shuttles that go back and forth between the sides, so we hopped on one. You actually have to have a password for the Speakeasy, but we did! They let us in and we crowded up to the bar. There was live music, and a great atmosphere. It was a really fun night!
