Day 2 – Don’t Touch Oswald!

I was trying to be quiet when I woke up this morning, but the rooms aren’t that big!! Ashley and Darolyn were stirring, but not quite ready when we left, so we told them we’d meet up.

May I just add that it is sooooo easy to do that at Disneyland. Everything is so close! 🙂

We were off to EMH at Disneyland this morning. Here we are!

As I recall, we failed at so many things we tried! We kept getting in lines and the ride would break down! We spent like 30 minutes wandering before we successfully rode something. And that ride was?

Mr. Toad!! We went to hell! ???

Thankfully we made it out of hell and we were off to Space Mountain and Darolyn and Ashley caught up with us!

Space selfie!

After Space, not surprisingly, we were hungry!

So we went to the Jolly Holiday bakery. I think it was Jerry who asked what they had there and we said, “Yummy stuff.”

And he was convinced.

I had an Olaf cupcake –

I gave my icing to someone because I am not an icing fan. It makes Stephen crazy when I get a cupcake and immediately knock off all the icing. But if someone else gets it then it seems like we are both winning! Right?

Jerry had a Matterhorn Macaroon! He very nicely let me take a gazillion pictures. I don’t like coconut so I never get them.

I caught this sweet moment between Jerry and Tracey, lol.

We rode one of the best rides at Disneyland next – Indy!

We passed by the Rivers of America which was bustling with activity.

Mark Twain selfie!

Today we had big lunch plans – the world famous Plaza Inn fried chicken! I had double mashed potatoes instead of green beans. Of course.

Someone got some Starbucks after that.

Back at the hub!

Darolyn was playing the role of Missy today…

We walked over to Toontown to ride Roger Rabbit next!

We found Pluto when we came out! Pluto’s handler was laughing at us trying to get all of us in a selfie (Pluto’s head is a little large) and offered to take a fake selfie for us!

She held the phone and took the picture, but had Kelly hold out her arm like she was taking it.

Brilliant. This wasn’t her first rodeo.

Look at Jerry and Darolyn getting cozy in the Toontown car!

We stopped to watch Mickey’s Magical Map next. I really do like this show.

Then it was time for the most coveted snack of all – Dole Whip float!! Yay!

We walked over to California Adventure next, and who was there? Oswald!

Funny Oswald story.

When we went to Disneyland, the measles outbreak there was all over the news. Everywhere! So much so that Stephen made me take my shot records to the doctor and confirm I was immunized before I left.

There were lots of measles jokes as we walked around. Lol

Let’s say the germ alert was Defcon 1.

As we were waiting in line for Oswald, apparently one of the women before us kissed him and left a lipstick mark. So the photographer walked over to Oswald, licked his thumb, and wiped it off…???

Darolyn and I both saw it and were like –Dude! We tried to avoid Oswald’s face.

I think this is when we decided to go see the Zoetrope and discovered the horrible awful news. It was gone. Gone.

The Frozen sisters had moved in. We were shocked. And appalled.

And there may have been some name calling.

So we rode Luigi’s for the last time:

At some point Ashley had chili in a cone here and I think I had popcorn.

Maters!

We decided to go to Tangaroa Terrace for a late dinner so Tracey and Kelly could get their beloved cake! I had this yummy pork sandwich.

They found the cake! I mean they found ALL the cake! Lol

After that, I think we were back to the room for bed! Parks again tomorrow! Thanks for reading!
