Day 2 – Classes and Tours of Three Resorts!

Today was a full day of marketing and tours. I was sleeping hard when my alarm went off at 6.

I was quiet surprised when I realized this morning there were no plugs in the bathroom! Only a shaving plug. Much like Disney Cruise Line!

I also had marginal hot water. But I opened my curtains and forgave them.

Plus they came and fixed it, no problem the next day.

I caught up on email and left the room at 7:30.

The pool was empty.

One of the stores. We found it amusing that they sold children’s clothing at an adult only resort.

We passed through the lobby on the way to breakfast.

We ate at the buffet, which was yummy!

Mine!

I left my plate to go get some juice.

When I got back, one of the servers was very upset that I had left my potatoes and bugs had gotten it. I didn’t see any bugs and neither did Jenell so we were quiet confused. But the server had insisted that Jenell not let me eat it, so I went back for yet another plate.

Later we realized she probably said a bird had gotten into it which made more sense with the birds around.

I appreciated her looking out for me!

I was worried the weather was going to turn so I took a few pictures before we left for our first meeting.

It’s so quiet in the mornings!

We made our way to the meeting room and had a marketing meeting for a couple of hours. There were snacks and displays, and it was a great meeting all around.

We dropped off some of our stuff in Jenell’s room since it was so close and then we split into groups for tours. We were touring all three Sandals resorts on St. Lucia. We started with the resort where we were staying – Sandals Regency La Toc.

We took a shuttle to the top of the bluffs where we had eaten the night before.

We started in the club lounge for concierge guests.

That’s where we ate last night! We knew it was gorgeous out there!

Our first room was a butler level room with a beautiful ocean view and private plunge pool.

Yep. Could get used to this.

Next room:

With views for days…

Restaurant:

The restaurant is above a beautiful, quiet pool. We spent a lot of the day there the next day.

Inside the restaurant:

Back out and downstairs.

Another butler room with a private pool.

Next we climbed a hill to the most amazing room I have ever seen. A Millionaire Suite.

Seriously.

Next we walked over to an overlook with comfy chairs for a little break.

They had someone cutting coconuts open for us. Fresh coconut water!

Which was actually not good. Like, not at all. But to be fair, I do not like coconut!

After the shock and awe of the millionaire suite I figured it was all downhill, but this next room was great too!

It was two stories!

With a huge shower:

And beach access!

Loved that one!

We walked down the hill a little.

We passed Kimonos! We had dinner reservations there for that night!

We found the wedding chariot!

More of the resort:

We passed a cabana you could rent. It’s $50 for a half day and $99 for a full day.

Another restaurant!

This pizza and popcorn was there for the taking. We had popcorn a couple of times.

Some local vendors:

This massage cabana was right outside my room!

My rooms up there:

We toured the spa next. It was gorgeous! I didn’t take any picture because guests were inside.

I did take a picture of the hot and cold plunge pools!

Then we made our way to the beach where the water sports were. Water sports are included as well!

If you are dive certified, dives are included and if you are not, you can pay for the start of your certification ($90) and participate in dives.

Here’s the dive training pool:

There are all kinds of water sports. It’s really awesome. There wasn’t water skiing at our resort, but there was at another resort on the island and you can catch shuttles between resorts.

Next we walked to the golf course. We sat down at the clubhouse and they made us some lovely non-alcoholic drinks.

After we talked golf (golf is also included!) we boarded a shuttle for another resort – Sandals Grande!
Sandals runs shuttles back and forth between the resorts all day long. Guests can go back and forth to eat, swim, explore, use the other resort’s watersports, etc. It’s a great way to expand your vacation!

Let me just say, I loved the Grande. While some of the rooms at our resort were my favorite, the overall feel of the resort was awesome!

The lobby was huge and gorgeous!

The main pool was down below.

Someone brought us these wonderful non-alcoholic drinks with sugar cane sticks in them! My word they were delicious. We all got refills.

We had a delicious lunch and then we started our tour! We started in the English Pub!

Here’s the concierge lounge!

The resort had water on both sides! See?

The hot and cold pool at the spa!

Pizza!

Resort:

Because the water was calmer here there were some extra water sports found here, like waterskiing!

Gordon’s was a gorgeous restaurant out on a pier.

Sand floor restaurant!

People love the hot dog stand!

Gazebo!

Quiet Pool!

Then we toured a Rondoval which are amazing rooms!

With it’s own pool!

There were swim up suites over there!

After touring that beautiful resort, we were off to the final resort – Halcyon!

I thought Grand felt very different than La Toc, but that was nothing compared to Halcyon! It was so different! There really is a resort for everyone.

Halcyon is smaller and really felt like it was in its own little world.

The main pool area:

Giant chess!

Some of these rooms felt like a little hobbit village!

The beach:

The beautiful restaurant on the beach:

Beachside dining:

There were lots of little nooks and crannies to get comfortable in.

Quiet pool!

Soy, the sushi bar:

We were all pretty tired, so this tour was pretty quick.

We loaded up on our shuttle bus and headed back to our resort!

I only had about 45 minutes in the room and then it was time for our dinner reservations at Kimonos. Kimonos is a hibachi place and I was excited!

The tables face out towards the most amazing views of the ocean. I was really looking forward to that! Until I was walking and realized it was already dark! At 6:30! I hadn’t noticed how early it was dark the night before, but wow, it really did get dark here!

So no view, but still a fun night!

I was so wanting to get in a hot tub one night, but tonight was not that night! We were exhausted. I went back to my room and got on the computer for a little while before I fell blissfully asleep. We had a free day tomorrow to sleep in and enjoy the resort!
