Day 1 – On Our Way!

For the three of us that were home all day, it was hard to wait until the girls finished school so we could leave! But finally they did!! And we were off.

It’s 4 hours exactly from my front door to Disneyland.  Of course you have to time it so you don’t hit rush hour in LA. Also, word to the wise, never leave Vegas on a Sunday evening to go to LA and never leave LA to come to Vegas on a Friday night. If you do, you’ll be joined on your journey by hundreds of your closest friends.

At some point I sent Heather and Missy a picture of us in the car and said we were on our way. They declared my picture was boring and we didn’t look excited enough.

So they got this totally sincere doesn’t look posed at all picture:

We stopped about two hours in at Chipotle and made it to Embassy Suites at around 8:30. We checked in and were off to Downtown Disney.

We headed off to Downtown Disney for a little shopping before bed. I didn’t take my camera, so just iphone pictures tonight!  Sorry, readers.

We drove to Downtown Disney to park, missed our turn and ended up next to the parking garage where they had stopped charging for the night, so that worked just as well!

The trams were packed coming back from the parks, but empty going to the parks! I took the selfie in the first post on the tram.

Today was May the 5th so there was lots of Star Wars merch! What do they do with them on the 6th?

We stopped in Build a Bear because these are adorable.

We all got snacks! And we got different snacks! Normally we would have gone right to Haagen Daz, but no! We were DDD!  Well some of us were.

My word that is a horrible picture. Lol

I went crazy! Chocolate covered pineapple!

I was shocked by how much I loved it. I didn’t realize how yummy they were!

We went to the Grand Californian lobby to sit and enjoy our snacks before going back to our hotel.
