Day 1 – Off to Sandals Ochi!
I was super excited to see all of the Sandals Jamaica resorts in one trip! Even thought it fell in the middle of several trips, a Princess Alaska cruise, Germany with Adventures by Disney, etc., when I was asked to go, I couldn’t turn that down!
There was a group of 8 other agency owners or managers, our Sandals rep, and myself. We all got to know each other over the week, and had a great time!
The trip to Jamaica was fairly uneventful!
Sandals Ochi is a long way from the Montego Bay airport where most people fly into. But Sandals has a lovely lounge to wait in, and shuttles that whisk you away.
The trip is long enough that we stopped for a restroom break along the way!
After we arrived, and got checked in, I was off to my room!
I was in a Honeymoon Hideaway Luxury Club Level room!
I loved the location so much!
Here it is!
And my view:
This is out the front:
There’s a quiet pool and hot tub right over there –
There was a schedule in my room, and a meeting time for dinner. But I missed the meeting time and location for dinner! It was on the back of the sheet, which I never turned over!
I headed out to look for our meeting place before dinner, and realized I must have missed something.
Here’s the quiet pool!
And looking back at my room:
This is where I thought we were meeting.
Great view!
But no travel agents. Ha!
I kept going.
Not here!
It’s so pretty!
I finally found everyone in the restaurant already! I felt so bad being late for our first dinner! We did have a great Hibachi dinner though! It was a little hard to talk to anyone besides the two people right next to you, but we were going to be spending a lot of time together later, so it was okay!
After dinner we all said goodnight and went to bed! Big day tomorrow!
