Day 1 – Hey Kelly!

It was travel day!  Woohoo!  After three cancelled cruises for the Ladies of Leisure, we were finally back!  And I couldn’t wait!

I woke up at 3:30 for my super early flight.  Oy. 

I may have napped a little on the flight, but mostly I read.  I always enjoy good reading time on a plane!

The plan was to wait for Sherry and Kris who were landing an hour after me, then we would all Lyft to my house together.  I ended up landing early and decided I probably had time to run home and get my car.

Or not.

I did make it home, dropped off my stuff, and got in my car. 

Which did not start.

Wuh oh.

I was hoping it was the battery, and texted some friends in the neighborhood before I realized I knew someone else that was here and could help – Kelly and Tracey!

I texted Kelly to see what they were up to.  I didn’t want them to leave a park for me!  But they were just doing laundry!  Woohoo!  I told them my sad story and, being the great friends they are, jumped in the car and came to my rescue!

Tracey took out the battery for me, which was pretty hard, I do not think I could have done it alone, and offered to go pick up a new one.  No way!  I was not letting them help me and run my errands!  So we all jumped in the car and were off to buy a new battery!

In the meantime, Kris and Sherry had landed and were getting a Lyft.  I told them how to get in.

When we got back, they were there!  We all hugged appropriately after we hadn’t seen each other in SO LONG!!

Tracey said the battery was on the outer edges of it’s life, and sitting in a hot garage unused for a lot of the summer didn’t help.  I asked him to tell me if I need to head to Florida every couple of weeks to drive the car.  I mean, if I have to…

After the car was all good, Tracey and Kelly left to go change for dinner.  We were meeting at Gran Destino to eat in Toledos!  I had been there once before, and it’s so pretty inside!

I realized after we sat down that I forgot my camera! I was so out of practice for LoL trip reports.

Dinner was delicious, but the company was even better!

We weren’t ready to say goodbye yet, so we all went back to my house for a while. We talked until late and said goodbye to Kelly and Tracey.

Cruise day tomorrow! Fingers crossed!
