Day 1 – Boarding Day!

Today was the day!  I was super excited to try a massive ship like Harmony.  I love lots of activity options on a ship, and Harmony was full of them!

We had all flown in the day before and stayed at the Ft. Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Resort, which is a beautiful resort, right on the beach.

Our view was not the beach.  Ha!

We woke up, ate downstairs, and then we were off to the terminal! Here it is:

There’s the check in area downstairs:

And before we knew it, we were on! Here’s the Royal Promenade:

Kate Spade onboard? This ship is speaking to me.

This is the Rising Tide Bar. It raises and lowers between floors while serving drinks.

We went right to one of the main dining rooms to get our dining organized.

Look how pretty!

Tonight we had decided on hibachi!

We’d be back! We went for lunch in Park Café. I had a panini!

And lots of dessert apparently!

Then we kept exploring.

Casinos on ships don’t interest me, but I am always impressed with how well Royal Caribbean filters out the smoke. The Rising Tide Bar was filling up!

Next we went out to the Boardwalk.

And then Central Park:

This was Chops!

And back by the casino.

Hello, Ft. Lauderdale!

Pool deck!

Selfie!

Here’s the solarium. The Solarium on Anthem of the Seas (Quantum Class) is one of my favorite places onboard. On Harmony (Oasis Class), it’s nice! Not quite as nice, but still nice!

Dang it!  No pole vaulting!!

Golf!

We stopped by Wonderland. We had decided not to eat here this time! It’s still super cool inside.

And then our room was ready! Woohoo! I can’t find any pictures I took! What on earth? But we had a Boardwalk view which I loved!

Here’s the Aqua Theater from our room!

And the zipline!

More views from our room:

We’re leaving!

And then it was time for dinner! I love hibachi! There’s no open flame onboard, so no onion volcano, but still super fun and good!

Throwing food and catching it in your mouth is encouraged.

We went to the theater next. This guy spun for like 20 straight minutes. I don’t know how he did it.

Whoa.

See the divers wayyyyy up there? They were diving into a moving target!

Crazy!

We stopped by Karaoke afterwards! We ended up in karaoke every night! We loved it!

Then it was bedtime! It was a great first day!
