13 Dec Day 6 – Don’t Feed the Bears!
Day 6 – Don’t Feed the Bears!
Today we had a bike tour of Linz! After breakfast, we took off. We saw a lot, it was very cool!
Probably the coolest thing we saw was an amazing town map on the floor of a huge space. Every town should do this!
We had lunch next and then boarded the bus for Cesky Krumlov!
When we got off, some people wanted to go their own way. The guides said that was fine, but were greatly concerned that they would miss the bus. They asked us to stay together until the castle.
So we started walking. Sooooo slowly.
Ally couldn’t take it. She was like – let’s break off! Now! So we did.
We shopped in an adorable little store and made our way down a side street. Where we ran smack dab into the group we had just ditched. Ack! So busted.
This city was just lovely!
Ally got some gelato at some point.
We walked uphill and came across this great overlook.
Then we walked to the castle!
We saw a sign that said please don’t feed the bears and chuckled.
Until we saw them. ACTUAL BEARS!!
What the what? That was unexpected!
Then we made our way back to the square where Ally got a cappuccino and I went off in search of chimney cake. Found it! With ice cream!
We were back in the square at the meeting time. One couple was not!
The guides asked us if we had seen them. There was a mutiny after 2 or three minutes. Our fellow guests were like – oh well! Let’s go! They’re adults!
Wow! I mean, they aren’t wrong! I strongly dislike late people. But I was not expecting that!
Luckily when we got back to the bus, they were already on it! Luckily for them, I guess!
When we got back to the bus, it was dinner time.
After dinner, I went up top to watch the sail away.
I was determined to make it to late-night snacks at 10:30 one night! I never did. Ha!
