Day 5 – A Little Skagway, But Mostly Puppies!

Today was Skagway day!

We woke up at 6.  We had cell service!  Woohoo!

We got ready and walked into town.

Holland America ship!

Debbie was navigating us to a short hike, and we went so far the wrong way. Lol. Luckily the town isn’t that big!

I bought some popcorn for sustenance.

Now we are going the right way!

We took the trail to some pretty views.

Then we went back into town where I bought a Fried Doughboy. Which is one of the most delicious things I have ever eaten! #nolie

We shopped a little!

Then we went back to the ship for lunch. And puppies.

We were so excited when we saw they were bringing puppies onboard. We got there so early!

Yes. We rope dropped puppies.

They’re here!

They’re amazing!

Totally worth it!

Then we napped/read for a while before dinner.

Tonight we had dinner with our Australian friends! So fun! Then we hung out with them for the evening and actually stayed up a little late! At some point during the evening we heard  that we may have a chance to see the Northern Lights about 1 am. I was definitely getting up for that!  I set an alarm and went up.

There were about 30 of us up there. The Lights did appear! But only for about 10 seconds. We all shrieked when we saw them though! I’ve seen them once before, but it’s still exciting. Then it was back to bed!

Day 5 – A Little Skagway, But Mostly Puppies! 
Day 6 – Bears in Juneau!
Day 7 – Salmon and More Salmon 
Day 8 – Sea Day and Galley Tour 
Day 9 – Home Again!
