Day 2 – Turn Off Your Phone!

Good morning, Barbados!

It was amazing out!

We met up for breakfast at the buffet before training.

Training time!

We met in a classroom for a couple hours of classroom training.

At some point someone’s phone rang. I was like okay, it happens. Than about five minutes later, it rang again. I was like – Seriously?

It was coming from my area. I had my phone in front of me on Do Not Disturb, so I knew it wasn’t me.

Then it rang AGAIN!! I could not believe how rude someone was.

Everyone was looking around for the culprit.

About five minutes later, a bad feeling came over me. I had another device in my camera bag…

I present, my butler phone:

Oh my word, apparently my butler phone rings. Out loud.

I wanted to die.

Really I wanted to stand up and apologize and tell people I HAD NO IDEA they rang! I was such a noob for Butler phones.

After we finished our training, I did go an apologize to the instructor.

He said it was no problem at all, he doesn’t judge. I said, “Well, I do! And I was judging harshly!” Ha!

So embarrassing.

After we finished our classroom time, we went on a resort tour. These were the swimout rooms!

They were constructing Sandals Royal Barbados right next door, and we peeked over. It’s since been finished and is absolutely gorgeous! You can walk back and forth between the two and take advantage of the amenities at both!

After that, we took a break for the day and got ready to swim! The butlers left a snack in my room!

We relaxed for a little while and then went to our rooms to get ready for dinner. I finally saw one of my butlers in person!

He asked what my plans were for the next day, and what he could do. I said we were going to sit by the pool all day and would love some chairs by the main pool with some shade! He was on it!

We met another agent at Butch’s, the steakhouse. I didn’t take my camera, trying not to be too obnoxious. But I had my phone! I had a mocktail!

And steak, of course.

After dinner, I think we went to the hot tub one more time! Then bed.
